Phase One of the school’s Mountaineer Legacy Walkway project, involving the installation of a Legacy Walkway constructed of bricks purchased in a fundraiser initiated by the West Orange High School PTA, was unveiled in a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on June 12. Phase Two of the fundraiser is scheduled to kick off in September, and Phase Three will occur in the spring of 2019, according to West

made a decision to move ahead with a fundraiser to help support students, clubs, scholarships, trips, initiatives, teachers’ grants and school community programs. PTA Fundraising Chair Lori McCollum proposed the sale of customizable, personalized bricks in an ongo-
ing, year-to-year fundraiser to create a walkway on the Conforti side of the building leading to the athletic fields. The PTA executive board embraced the idea, as did Principal Hayden Moore. “Principal Moore was very excited to have a cont. on page 2
