Coffs women on top of the world after Grand Final win

By Brad GREENSHIELDS THE Coffs Breakers have claimed their first AFL North Coast women’s title, making up for the disappointment of a year earlier. A year ago the Breakers were on top of the ladder all season only to find disappointment in the finals. On Saturday the Breakers refused to let the opportunity slip in the grand final, proving harder for longer against Northern Beaches, winning 6.4 (40) to 3.0 (18). The first quarter at the C.ex Coffs International Stadium was an arm-wrestle with the Breakers kicking the only goal of the term. A goal early in the second by Britt Hargreaves gave the Blues plenty of hope but the Breakers responded with two quick majors to Tarryn Arnold. Breakers captain Katika Adams said Northern
