With 3,000-plus cramming Main Street and another 1,000-plus working their way through the kids’ activity area as well as the series of food vendors, Saturday night’s Get Hip 4 Cancer was a massive success. The organizers’ goal was to raise a few dollars - but more importantly awareness - about cancer, of course, backed by a phenomenal performance by Gord Downie and The Tragically Hip.
