sure.Do residents say they have had enough of Dave Bylsma’s antics and show him the door? One thing is for certain, those who sim ply write him off as “crazy” - or one of the many de rogatory terms anyone can find on the internet con versations - will find he is a smart fellow. Many, dare I say a majority of folks, do NOT agree with his views. It remains to be seen if a majority of voter turnout in West Lincoln will give Mayor Dave another shot. That one is all about the West Lincoln fish bowl and who turns out to vote. Even on West Lincoln council there will be some tight races, so it will be a very interesting campaign there allAsaround.noted last week, Grimsby has a good mix of candidates sprinkled across the four wards.

Human error - driver forgot to lock back door of his rig - resulted in the temporary closure of the Toronto bound QEW on ramp at Ontario Street in Beamsville on Monday. About 2,400 chicks made the unplanned exit. OPP and volunteers helped clear the way before the on-ramp was re-opened. No charges have been laid as of press time.

of the future, explaining your position on a conten tious decision from the last term...that is what it is all about.West Lincoln has some choices in front of it to be
The OPP posted the incident on Twitter with a lead cap tion, “Why did 2,400 chickens try to cross the road?”
Office Location
the Town got caught sleeping in 2018 was mainly due to the despera tion to clear the board of those who either supported or stepped aside and al lowed the biodigester fias co to swallow up $19 million or so of Town cash value. The mission was accom plished, but voting blind on some of the new candidates from the slate has now ushered in an era of embarrass ment and turbulence which has likely set the Town back a solid 10 years.
No crash. The bins fell off a truck. The truck would have been traveling slowly and, as the photo shows, they had as soft a landing as one could hope for, so, yes, full-go for some humour! The chicks didn’t fall out on the QEW caus ing a massive vehicle pile-up. Just relax, people. M.W.
As in 2018, a citizens group has mapped out a four-evening series of meetings to allow for a full and clear outlying of candidate thoughts and plat forms - one ward dealt with per evening. If the same as 2018, the Grimsby chamber will take on the mayoral candidate debate.
Hasty exit
Another off the charts response
I’ve had a ton of people asking me who they should vote for. As stated prior, I won’t tell you who to vote for, but I have no problem outlining the track record of some of the candidates who are seeking re-elec tion. Voters need to ask their own questions and demand accountability.
Reporter/Photographer - Sarah Williscraft
It has nothing to do with the people who get acclaimed. In fact, it is often a testament to their efforts and track record - as I sus pect in the case in Lincoln. However, stating your case as a candidate in a public forum, selling your vision
An attempt at levity, you can decide on its success for yourself. Twitter, or the feed I happened to see was ready to cancel the OPP as evidenced by a series of derogatory comments. The starter “Thousands of tiny chicks were hurt in a violent transport crash.”...and it went from there.
You will hear this mantra over and over in the com ing 7-8 weeks - get edu cated on the candidates.
Lincoln will have the easiest time of it, for sure, with both the mayor and regional councillor seats acclaimed. I am sure Mayor Sandra Easton and Reg. Coun. Rob Foster appreci ate not having to buy a new pair of walking shoes be fore door knocking season, but I also believe they know how important it is to be challenged.Ihateacclamations.Therearefewthings

So, good reader, you see the incident above. Unfortunate to be sure. Driver made a mistake. Bins of chicks slid out the back door of his rig, cause a minor traffic delay.
