The Northwest Missouri Chapter of Quail and Upland Wildlife Federation was formed to focus conservation needs on a variety of wildlife, including quail, pheasants, turkey, ducks, deer, fish and many other species. The new efforts will focus on local habitat work completed at the community level in Northwest Missouri counties. Funds raised at our events will support LOCAL youth activities and wildlife habitat projects.
God as the only intercessor in prayer who hears our every word and knows our every thought. We are encouraged to hold fast our profession. Profession, you might ask. Many don’t consider being a Christian as their Profession because of the association with work, such as farmers, teachers and nurses with the list going on and on of those who associate with a particular field of dedication. As to Merriam-Webster’s definition: Profession. (1: the act of taking the vows of a religious community 2: an act of openly declaring or publicly claiming a belief, faith, or opinion 3: an avowed religious faith 4a: a calling requiring specialized knowledge and often long and intensive academic preparation b: a principal calling, vocation, or employment) Notice, if you will, the order of common understanding as the first three definitions for Profession have to do with faith. verse in Hebrews encourages us to hold fast our profession of faith as we journey through life. When a confession of faith is made it may be in public where we gather at our chosen place of worship; but if we look at faith as our profession, faith is actively working in us daily. (Philippians 2:12…work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.) Because of the reference to work some folks view it as being contrary to grace of which we are saved if we believe and continue therein. Living a Christ filled life requires work, in that it requires an effort to avoid the temptations and pitfalls of the world and the devil himself. We are to make a conscious effort every day to be in God’s word and to desire our life to be a reflection of his love and compassion. Live our lives with love and caring compassion toward others, whether they are believers or not, (2 Peter 3:17-18, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.) On behalf of the Gentry County Sheriff’s Office, we want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone that attended the March 16, 2024 Free will donation breakfast that was held at the Albany Fire Department and to those that made it possible. Also, a Thank You to those who participated in the gun raffle and to those who donated in any way.
The donations will be used to aid in the purchase of a drone and for the training of a deputy to properly operate the drone. A drone will be used to aid in the search of suspects, search and rescue of missing children and other persons, including other activities where having a view above could assist first responders in resolving a situation.
Congratulations to Tyler Allen for being the winner of the rifle and Christy Allen of the pistol. Their names were drawn March 16th at the breakfast.
Sincerely
