Shout-out today to Caleb Phillips. Caleb has been the Nodaway County Prosecuting Attorney for the past two years. In that time, he has attended North Star’s trainings, trained North Star staff on various parts of complex criminal law, made time to meet with several victims of domestic and/or sexual violence and showed them kindness, tried many cases we feel passionate about, has had funny conversations with us, sought out our assistance, has served on teams in the community with us, and he always made time to talk to us. Caleb has worked extremely hard in the time he has served here, and he has served with much compassion and humbleness. We’re so sad to lose this genuine guy, but we’ll forever be grateful. Either through believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we enter into eternity to receive spiritual rewards and worship Jesus forever or when we kneel before Him in Judgement our eternity will be nothing but suffering and agony in the ‘Lake of Fire’ (Rev 20:15) Now to the 3rd reason this statement is so vitally important to our spiritual well-being. “God with us.” this we celebrate every year as the miraculous birth of one who in the image of sinful flesh as coming through the flesh of the mother but living a sinless life as was conceived by the Holy spirit. We celebrate by 1, God with us who would live a sinless life until 2, that which God has done for us as he would hang on the cross and 3rd proof of being born again in the Spirit as God within us.
