The Island City Christian & Calvary Stanberry Churches (Isaiah 9:6-7, For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.) (John 3:16-17, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.) Christmas: the annual event of which is much about the gift. How many hours are spent every year seeking that perfect Christmas gift for family and friend? Here in the bible, we read of a prediction concerning the gift from God that will fill any and every need to those who will receive by faith. A perfect gift promised some 740 years before the little baby at Bethlehem was laid in the manger. Receiving this gift is as if the living word takes root within our heart, mind, and soul. Notice how Isaiah speaks with such a positive tone as if the Son had already been given. The tone of faith speaks volumes to the essence of possessing God’s predictive promise of as a matter of fact. God has provided a way for our needs and desires to be filled with the Holy spirit of joy and peace. Here in Isaiah, we read about the most important aspects of life being taken care of when we open our hearts to God. First: note the overflow of joy as we awaken to God’s eternal presence as we shout; Wonderful! All because this gift is a true-life changing event. Second: Counselor, for if we have questions or concerns, He is always there with an attentive ear and responds to our heart with the calming spirit of assurance. Pondering the presence of the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father who gives us that most wonderful sense of Peace. Sense the gift of God’s Presence. Praise God, in Jesus holy name.
