Jerome Edgar Palmer
December 20, 1943 - December 11, 2022
Jerome Edgar Palmer was born December 20, 1943, to William Doris and Vilma (Harris) Palmer at the old family farmhouse in rural McFall, Missouri and passed away at his home on December 11, 2022 at the age of 78.
Jerry met Mary, who later became his wife in 1980, who was tricked into thinking he was a charming individual.
Boy was she ever wrong. Jerry embarrassed her daily with his mouth and choice of clothing. Jerry was loud and so was his shirts. Jerry always said he wanted to be picked out in a crowd.
Jerry had a yours, mine, and ours family. He also had some friends that he would make them feel as though they were family. Yes, that’s right Jerry did have a few friends. He would always help someone in need, but not without his opinion on the situation. He was a farmer with his father for many years on the family farm. He then farmed part-time and worked evenings for 18 years at Johnson Controls. Jerry was an avid union supporter. He was in the Masonic Lodge, on a bowling league, and an Air Force Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents W.D. and Vilma (Harris) Palmer; late wife Janice (Taul) Palmer; brother-in-law Roger Scott.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Palmer (Boone) of the home; children, Jesse (Amanda) Palmer; Tammy (Dave) Marsh; Martin (Kelly) Weatherd; Tracy (Doug) Coburn; Sara Wright (Palmer); sister, Joyce Scott (Palmer); and his has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Funeral Service was held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 15 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany, Mo. with burial in the McFall, Mo. Cemetery. Dr. Jack Lee Cherry, D.D.S. was born on August 19th, 1931 in Kansas City, Missouri to Emmett “Happy” and Lillian (Owens) Cherry and passed away on December 7th, 2022 at the age of 91.
Jack graduated from Kansas City East High School in 1949 where he was a member of the National Honor Society, football and basketball teams, and the City Champion track team where he was All State. He was also an Eagle Scout and in the Navy Reserves.
In August 1954 he married Carolyn Quinley and to this union two children were bornMark Lee in 1957 and Valerie Jayne in 1968. Jack graduated with the highest honors from the University of Missouri- Kansas City School of Dentistry in 1966 where he was a member of the Rho Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He then moved his family to Albany, Missouri where he practiced dentistry for over 41 years.
Dr. Cherry was a past president of the Albany Country Club and Rotary Club. He was a member of the National Field Trial Association, Missouri Trap Shooters Association, American Dental Association, and many other organizations.
After the passing of Carolyn, he married Edna Wyatt on November 28, 1986 and gained two adult children, Kelly and John. Jack had a brilliant mind and a competitive spirit. He loved sports of all kinds. He enjoyed watching the Chiefs, Royals, KU Basketball, the Olympic Games, and his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. When asked just a few short months ago which were his favorites to watch, Jack said, with tears in his eyes, that it was watching his son, Mark, pitch in his summer college league baseball games and his daughter, Valerie, run the 400M at district and state track.Jack played in over 100 golf tournaments over his lifetime. He also competed in the National Trap Shooting Championship in Vandalia, Ohio. He was an amateur pilot, loved quail hunting, and field trials. He owned several English pointer bird dogs and Tennessee Walking horses. He also enjoyed roller coasters. His favorite being the one at New York, New York in Las Vegas. Dr. Cherry loved Colorado, where he spent two weeks every summer vacationing there for over 50 years. He traveled all over the Colorado Rockies while hiking and sightseeing. He and Edna also enjoyed making and building crafts for several years.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carolyn, and sister Barbara. He is survived by his wife Edna, son Mark (Wendy) Cherry, daughter Valerie (Allen) Swisher, stepdaughter Kelly (Lance) Wyatt, and stepson John (Carla) Wyatt, 16 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and former patients.
Visitation was held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Albany First Baptist Church followed by a graveside service at the Grandview Cemetery under direction of the Roberson-Polley Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to the Mosaic Care-Hospice or the Albany First Baptist Church in care of Roberson-Polley Chapel, 403 N. Carol passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 at her sonʼs house in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a longtime resident of New Hampton, MO.
She was born January 31, 1939 in Evona, Missouri to James Gilbert Fountain and Georgia MaryAnn (Bartrop) Fountain. She was little sis to Cora Mae Fountain (Wagner).
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Gib & Georgie, granddaughter, Alouque (Ali) Lorraine Brennan, and several family members and friends welcoming her home with open arms.

Mom was a long time Raiders fan and apologized to no one for it. She did come to cheer for the Chiefs with Bobby and me, unless they were playing against one another. Then it was a blast watching the game together. Mom loved going to casinos and had many “Player Club Cards” from the many casinos she graced with her presence. She was a loving and open person, a great mom, and my rock. “We love you, Mom.”

~OBITUARY~ Ronald Louis Rauch May 15, 1941 - November 26, 2022
Ronald Louis Rauch was born May 15, 1941 at St. Francis Hospital in Maryville, Missouri to Louis Rauch and Jessie (Wilson) Rauch.
He grew up on a farm southwest of Grant City. He was a graduate of Sheridan High School and Northwest Missouri State University. Ronald married Carma Shipley on April 2, 1961 in Grant City, Missouri. Two children, a daughter Lori Susan and son Ron Wilson were born to this union.
Ronald professed his faith and accepted Christ as Savior in his teenage years. He became a member of the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church and later he served as adult Sunday School Teacher there. Upon closure of the church he moved
his membership to the Grant City Baptist Church. Ronald served there as a deacon, young married and adult Sunday School Teacher. He was also a Christian lay speaker on occasion. In later years his health prevented church attendance but he remained steadfast in his faith.
Most of his working life was spent as Executive Director of the Area Agency on Aging, retiring on January 31, 2007. Ronald passed away November 26, 2022 at Orilla’s Way in Grant City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Jessie Rauch; his sister Neva Allee and her son Travis Allee; his father and mother-in-law Ancil and Lora Shipley. Survivors include his wife of 61 years Carma of the home; his daughter and her husband Lori and Terry Green; his son Ron W. Rauch; four grandchildren Haley (Justin) Seipel, Aaron (Ashlyn) Green; Skylar Rauch and Dustyn Rauch; three great-grandchildren Colbie Jae Seipel, Samuel Wade Seipel and Cord McCoy Green. He is also survived by one brother Jerry (Valerie) Rauch, one sister Linda (Jim) Shryock and one brother-in-law Edmond Allee; nieces, nephews, many friends and other relatives.
Funeral Services were held November 29, 2022 at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City, Missouri. Burial was in the Grant City Cemetery.
