Stanberry Light Night “Day” Event

Saturday, November 28th • 2:00pm - 4:00pm With a lot of discussion and guidance from the local health department, light night is still on, but will be a day event this year. We will provide the opportunity for the kids to take pictures with Santa, but in a different setting. Santa will be set up on the South East side of the square on the Caboose. The Stanberry Community Betterment Group is helping set up a stage in front of the Caboose so that the kids will be able to take pictures with Santa from a “safe distance” and we will have a place for the kids to drop off letters to Santa. We will also continue to sell the memorial ornaments, although we will not have an official time to read off the ornaments, we will work with Tri-County News and try to get these in the newspaper. The kids are encouraged to write letters to Santa and drop them in the mailbox. Also, the Community Betterment group will have stockings filled with goodies for the kids. The Stockings are sponsored by Ag Power. With this being a daytime event we will not be have the annual ceremony of the lights being turned on. We will also not have Santa’s workshop or local vendors/businesses set up along the street and in Big 4’s building as we have the past few years.

The event with Santa will be subject to change based on both weather and any health advisement we are provided with from the local health department.
