~OBITUARY~ Larry Eugene Williams November 6, 1946 - November 3, 2022
Larry Eugene Williams was born in Albany, Mis souri, on November 6, 1946, the third child of Elie and Wilma (Culp) Williams and went to be with the Lord on November 3, 2022, at the age of 75.
Larry is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda (Maudlin) Williams, and their two sons, Ryan Wil liams of Maryville, MO, and Kyle Williams of Albany, MO. Other survivors include his brother Floyd “Ed” Williams, Kearney, MO; sisters, Marilyn (Bill) Evans, Gentry, MO; Shelley (Robert) Esmahan, Liberty, MO, and several nieces and nephews.
Larry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Albany. He enjoyed gardening, tinkering on cars and trucks, hunting, fishing, model trains, and a variety of other hobbies and interests.
Larry was many things to many people. From an ornery childhood and youth to a loving husband, father, brother, and uncle, he has left his footprints on all of our hearts.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Loyd Williams. A Celebration of Life was held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Rober son-Polley Chapel, Albany, MO. Burial followed in the Kirk Cemetery Allendale, MO.
Online Condolences may be left at www.robersonpolleychapel.com

Darletta shared her wisdom and creativity with others and will truly be missed by many, but none more than her family. Darletta drove a forklift for Modine Manufacturing until retiring in 1995.
On June 6, 2001, she was united in marriage to John Drennan in Reno, Washoe, Nevada. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2017.

(Daniel 9:3-5, Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes. And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments, we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by depart ing from Your precepts and Your judgments.) In times of uncertainty, I wonder how many seek God in prayer with the same sense of urgency as Daniel 2500 years ago? In years past we’ve gathered at the Flag in the park where someone would bring up in prayer the response Solomon received from God concerning the moral condition of the country. (2 Chron 7:14, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer...) Daniel made an urgent request to God acknowledging the sins of the land. Going to God in prayer wholeheartedly as a matter of confession and shame, not so much the sins he had committed personally but the sins of his neighbors. Have we gone to God with shame for the attitudes and lifestyles accepted by our community, far removed from the righteousness of God? Many have been seduced into believing in a god of their own imagination. Their god is described as a ‘big god’ who orchestrates every event in the world and gives birth to the phrase ‘god is in control’, but in a self-serving way. Solomon dedicated the Temple as a place of worship acknowledging the presence and provision of God who spoke with a contingent ‘IF’ my people will… The world in which we live is bombarded with propaganda from a social utopian mindset while ignoring the personal righteousness required by the God of creation. The rallying cry includes worldwide is sues that distract from focusing on personal righteousness to something that cannot be fixed by human effort. Self-seeking, self-righteousness as they proudly proclaim they are saving the world by controlling the weather. Repent and seek the right way today and breathe the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
For
• have one of the really good car care businesses listed below, check your Vehicle over for optimal Winter driving conditions.
• have your battery checked frequently. as the Weather gets colder, your battery power Will decrease the colder it gets. if your battery is getting some age, you risk having a bad battery at a t ime When you need it most. if you do need a battery, give one of the automotive repair businesses a call & suggest installing a battery that is 600 cold cranking amps to help you get the most out of your battery.
• have your cooling system checked. the recommended ratio is between 50/50 and 70/30 of anti freeze and Water. ask one of the repairmen listed below What antifreeze Would be best for your Vehicle to help prevent your engine against corrosion and the possibility of freezing up.
• brakes....not something you Would consider to be a problem but in slick conditions, having your brakes in top Working order Will always be Welcome.
• checking your hoses, belts, Wires, cables & spark plugs could be the difference between getting home to and from Work or being stranded along the Way in bad Weather.
• rotate your tires so that you have the best tires in the right spot at the right time. many of the mechanics below offer this service. let them Keep you safe Wherever you’re headed. around here We can have extended cold stretches so it’s Very important to Keep your tires air pressure and tread usage check before the Weather changes to cold, it can happen just about any day now.
• if you haven’t already it is a great time to change your Windshield Wipers, both front and back, to ones that are made for Winter Weather.6. Keep • make sure your Windshield Wiper fluid is always full. driving in ice, sleet or snow can leave a lot of the materials the road crews put on the road to Keep the snow and ice from accumulating on your front and back glass. it’s never a good time to have an empty Washer fluid reservoir.
• having a safety Kit in your Vehicle at all times is not a bad idea, regardless of the Weather conditions. it never hurts to have a flashlight, pair of pliers, tire changing tools, candles & matches. might even through in a blanket or 2 you might not be using daily.
• don’t let your gas tank get below half full, even at today’s prices. you never Know When a family member or friend may need your help. if you start out on a short trip and have trouble that Would force you to stop along the highway, a full tank Will help to Keep you Warm & Keep your electrical systems from being run down While you’re Waiting for help.
• check to see if your rear Window defroster is Working. if not check With one of the really good
mechanics listed below for a check-up to see What is malfunctioning. it’s not always What’s in front of you that can cause you harm.
• if you should happen to be stranded along the highway due to poor road conditions make sure to stay With your Vehicle. if you head out on foot the Weather conditions may be poor enough for you to Keep your Vehicle in sight. most of us have a cell phone or access to one, call someone on your call list & tell them Where you are and What you are driving so they can help monitor your situation. you can use your interior lights and/or your emergency flashers periodically to help other travelers Know someone is in your Vehicle and hopefully Won’t pass you by. the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning is real if you leave your car running for extended periods of time Without a Window open partially, just enough to continuously Keep fresh air coming in.
• We all Know that caution is a Very necessary state of mind When the Weather Worsens the far ther you travel. Keep a safe distance between you and the Vehicles in front of you. We prefer you arrive alive.
Take the Scare Out of Winter Driving
If you’re due for a tune-up, have it done immediately. Winter magnifies existing problems such as pings, hard starts, slug gish performance or rough idling. Check the tire tread depth and tire pressure. If snow and ice are a problem in your area, consider special tires designed to grip slick roads. During winter, tire pressure should be checked weekly. Check the brakes. The braking system is the vehicle’s most important safety component. Inspect the exhaust system for carbon monoxide leaks, which can be especially dangerous during cold weather driving when windows are closed. Check to see that exterior and interior lights work and headlights are properly aimed.
Be diligent about changing the oil at recom mended intervals as dirty oil can spell trouble in
winter. Consider changing to “winter weight” oil if you live in a cold climate. Check the fuel, air and transmission filters at the same time. Motorists should also keep the gas tank at least half full at all times to decrease the chances of moisture forming in the gas lines and possibly freezing. Drivers should check the tire pressure of the spare in the trunk and stock an emergency kit with an ice scraper and snowbrush, jumper cables, flashlight, flares, blanket, extra clothes, candles/matches, bottled water, dry food snacks and needed medication.
