(Ecc 12:7, Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, And the spirit will return to God who gave it.) As I sit in composition mode on this Tuesday morning, I am also contemplating a graveside service to be conducted later in the day. This verse of wisdom from Solomon: (1 Kings 4:29, And God gave Solomon wisdom and exceedingly great understanding, and largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore.) These are one of the moments in life when we contemplate our mortality and or immortality. Solomon spoke great wisdom in the compilation of thoughts of the book entitled Ecclesiastes concerning the age-old question, “What happens next”? From the book of (Genesis 2:7, And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.) From the beginning God formed mankind from the dust of the ground and then placed life within by His breath from above. Everything physical will eventually decay and return to the consistency of dust whereas the spirit will make a transition from the earthly dwelling to the presence of the only true living God. The bible tells us that Jesus has gone before us to prepare a dwelling place not made with hands as the temporary state of the physical will return to that from which it came, and the spirit will enter the presence of Jesus Christ in Judgement. (Phil 2:10-11, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.) No matter what a person thinks about life the time will come when everyone who is or has ever been will kneel before Jesus Christ and declare him an absolute ‘TRUTH’. Then will be a time of judgement of how we lived our lives. (Rev 20:12, And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.) What shall we say then? (2 Peter 3:9… not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.) Today, confess Jesus Christ as the only Way, Truth and Eternal Life before it’s too late!

I wish to thank my family, Rev. Bendi, my church families, Mosaic, Home Health nurses, Senior Center supporters, and dear friends for their care, concerns, calls, get well cards, flowers and food during my recovery. Thankful for Diann, my daughter, who is providing 24/7 care for a few weeks (to keep me from doing too much, too soon), and her husband, Gary, who is making my house more accessible. God has blessed me with many more days for which I am very thankful. I hope to be back to the Senior Center as soon as possible.
