ts Thanksgiving Bounty Baske

Dear Sir or Madam, Each year around the Thanksgiving Holiday, the Lord’s Warehouse, located at Albany, MO, the New Hampton Christian Church and several other area Churches help sponsor what we call “Thanksgiving Bounty Baskets”. Thanksgiving Bounty Baskets are Thanksgiving dinners, which include turkey or ham, vegetables, rolls, and dessert. These are boxed up and given out to needy families in the four county area, including Harrison, Gentry, Worth and Daviess. Towns that are included in this mission include Stanberry, Darlington, Albany, Martinsville, New Hampton, Bethany, McFall, Ridgeway, Eagleville, Cainsville, Mt. Moriah, Gilman City, Pattonsburg, Grant City and many more small towns in the four county area. We are not limited to just these towns, but will cover all areas in between. The purpose of this letter is to notify you of the Thanksgiving Bounty Baskets mission and letting you know that we will be collecting names around the four county areas. There will be sign-up sheets at designated places within your area. We’re also praying that you would be willing to help donate for this mission. We’ll be collection monetary donations throughout the months of October and November. You’re invited to come over and help with putting together the Bounty Baskets on Sunday, November 21, 2021 (depending on the COVID 19 status) at the New Hampton Christian Church. Lunch will be served before putting the Bounty Baskets together. If you wish to make a monetary donation, it may be sent to the Lord’s Warehouse in care of Rick J. Smith, 16588 W. 310th St., Bethany, MO 64424. Please be sure and mark your donation Thanksgiving Bounty Baskets. You can also contact Rick J. Smith at 660-868-0771 or Philip McChesney at 660-4392163. In 2020, due to monetary donations and the volunteer help of God’s many workers, we were able to feed 425 plus families in the surrounding areas. This year with the economy at its present state, we will be looking at, at least, 400 families in need of this God sent Bounty Basket. All support for the mission will be greatly appreciated. God Bless! Thanks for your support of this mission. Due to the COVID 19 issues at hand in our area, information in this letter may change at a later date. This mission will go ahead as planned, just may be done a little different this year.

In His Service..

(John 1:24, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?” John answered them, saying, “I baptize with water) (John 1:31, I came baptizing with water.”) (John 1:33, He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’) John the Baptist was fully engaged in the ministry of water baptism before Jesus began His earthly ministry. People will often ask ‘Why we do the things we do at church’? We participate in full immersion ‘Water Baptism’ and ‘Communion’ that is, the partaking of the bread and wine. We involve ourselves in these two ceremonies for three reasons. 1) Jesus was involved as recorded in the Gospels. 2) They were practiced in the early church as recorded in the book of Acts. 3) Both ceremonies were explained in great detail in the epistles. Yes, this is why we do the things we do as a part of the physical ministry, yet that which is most important is what John the Baptist was pointed too. That is, the time of the appearing of the Christ Jesus to bring about the baptism of the Holy Spirit of which no one can enter Heaven without. So, with that said what was John’s ministry of water immersion Baptism? (Matt 3:11, I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.) (Acts 19:4, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”) John would prepare the way of the Lord as water immersion baptism was symbolic of repentance and death leading to the immersion of the Holy Spirit of which no one can enter the kingdom of Heaven without. Just before Jesus ascended to take His place at the right hand of God as our intercessor, He would say: (Luke 24:47, repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations,) Repentance is essential before receiving the mercy and grace of God as you must be born again.
