The Island City Christian & Calvary Stanberry Churches (Jude 20-23, But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.) Faith in Jesus Christ comes with a certain anticipation, that is believing in eternal life as we look forward to the day when we will transition to the fullness of glory in Heaven. Jude is expressing God’s earnest desire for the faithful to continue in the Holy Spirit and prayer, not only for our faith but that we would share our understanding with others. He gives us two very clear instructions as to share the gospel from our most sincere faith relating to others how we know our sins are forgiven because of God’s love that continues to grow within our very being. (2 Peter 3:17-18, You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked; but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.) Having now in our possession the knowledge of the grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the desire is that everyone else could receive the same. As Jesus said: (John 15:11, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.) And from Paul, (Romans 2:4, Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?) Share the Love of Jesus with others and how His Holy Spirit gives us the ability to experience His very essence as the day approaches when we will transition from this body of flesh into the spiritual. Who can’t love this? Yet, he tells us there is another aspect of God’s Grace concerning consequence for unrighteousness, that is to suffer in eternal Hell Fire. The Gospel message is one of love, Joy, and the Peace of God through Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit, but to some the Fear of God is the only way to bring about the desire to live a repentant life devoted to pleasing Jesus.

~OBITUARY~ David Ray Nalle October 15, 1958 - September 17, David Ray Nalle, 62, Pattonsburg, MO passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 with his family by his side. David Ray Nalle was born October 15, 1958, to Ray and Loydene Newton Nalle in Bethany, MO. David attended school at Pattonsburg, MO graduating in 1977. On July 11, 1980, David married the love of his life Rebecca Shirlene Everly in Coffey, MO. David and Rebecca made their home west of Pattonsburg. David farmed with his dad, Ray and brother, Danny. On December 15, 1980, David and Rebecca were blessed with their first son, Kenneth Ray Nalle. Bradley James soon joined the family on January 10, 1983. On December 3, 1988, Kenny and Bradley welcomed their younger brother Justin Drew. David was a wonderful husband and an amazing father. He lived for his family. After the death of his parents, David and Rebecca were able to move into the home where David was raised and where they still reside today. David continued farming and raised his boys to follow in his footsteps by teaching them the tools of his trade, being a hard-working farmer. He enjoyed taking Kenny on Kubota rides. After teaching Kenny how to drive it, it wasn’t long until Kenny started chauffeuring David around. “Hold on dad”, Kenny would say. He enjoyed teaching Bradley and Justin to work on International tractors, many hours were spent watching and helping them diagnose issues. Throughout the years Bradley continued to farm alongside his father on the family farm. Justin chose to start a salvage business to use the knowledge which his father had given him on red tractors. David enjoyed racing cars, auctions, bowling, fishing, farming and he adored his pulling tractor known as Full Throttle, on which he won the Championship at the Missouri State Fair in 2011. David and Rebecca were faithful fair attendees. Every year they would attend the Missouri State Fair. They were joined by their grandchildren who enjoyed staying with them and getting spoiled. David looked forward to tilling the ground in the spring and harvesting in the fall so he could operate his one piece of green machinery, a John Deere combine. One of David’s favorite things to do was gather his family and head to Grand River where a family campsite was established in 1994. Many activities including BBQ’s, fish fries and a wedding reception were held there. David was preceded in death by his parents, Ray & Loydene Nalle, sister, Theresa Leigh and his father-in-law, Jim Everly. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Rebecca, of the home; sons, Kenneth Ray Nalle of Cameron, Bradley (Kristen) Nalle and Justin (Tressa) Nalle of Pattonsburg; grandchildren Bryson David, Riley James, Cole Edmon Nalle and Skylar Marie Raybourn; brother, Danny Joe (Teresa) Nalle of Kidder, MO; mother-in-law, Shirley Everly of Pattonsburg, MO; sisters-in-law, Deb Daniel, Bethany, Sherece (James) Eivins, McFall and Laura (Mark) Clark, Maysville, MO; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 23 at the First Baptist Church, Pattonsburg, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg, Mo. Burial followed in Pattonsburg Memorial Gardens, Pattonsburg, Mo. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Special Olympics Missouri, and/or the Make A Wish Foundation in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 152, Pattonsburg, MO 64670. Funeral services for Joyce Robertson of Butler, Missouri were held 2 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Schowengerdt Funeral Chapel in Butler, Mo. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler. Contributions to American Lung Association or Salvation Army. Online condolences, www.schowengerdtchapel.com. Joyce Robertson, 90, died peacefully in her sleep Sept. 12, 2021, in Butler, Mo. Joyce was born January 13, 1931, in Albany, Mo., the eighth of 10 children born to George Daniel and Alpha Delpha (Jennings) Carlock. She wed Charles Lee Robertson on June 23, 1955. Joyce loved the family she was born into, and she loved the family she built with Lee. Together, they raised four children. Joyce worked hard in the garden, sewed clothes, and cooked nearly every family meal, even on family vacations. She worked as a soda jerk in high school, attended college, taught two years in a country school, worked as a secretary at GE in Louisville, Ky., and at the Gentry County USDA Service Center before the kids were born. In addition to being a full-time mom, she did the books for the station after Lee bought the Phillips 66 just off the Albany square in 1960. As the kids got older, she worked part-time as a short-order cook, and later, full-time secretarial and bookkeeping jobs, retiring in 2003. Joyce came to Christ as a child and had been a member of the Albany Church of Christ. After moving to Butler, she attended the First Baptist Church. Joyce is survived by two daughters, Carol (Alan) Hayes of Butler and Mary (Jeff) Floyd of Columbia, Mo.; one son, Steven Robertson of Albany; six grandchildren, Chris Robertson of Clarinda, Iowa; Michael Robertson of Fountain, Colo., Callie Floyd and Drew Floyd of Chicago, Ill., Slate Hayes of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Mason Hayes of Butler; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia (Paul) Zee of Knoxville, Tenn., numerous nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and -nephews, and a brother-in-law, John (Joan) Robertson of Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her husband; their oldest son, Charles Dean Robertson; her parents; five sisters: Juanita Carlock Bowman, Rachel Carlock Shields Woodward, Clarice Carlock Harrah, Alice Carlock Whitworth and Shirley Carlock Holmes; and three brothers: Olin Carlock, George William (Bill) Carlock, and Daniel Carlock.
