~OBITUARY~ Connie Elaine (Craven) Jennings June 23, 1944 - August 26, 2021 Connie Elaine (Craven) Jennings entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the age of 77. Connie was born in Gentry County to Clifford and Neva (Wilkinson) Craven on June 23, 1944. She was the tenth of twelve children. Connie worked outside the home in various positions, including Albany Pepsi-Cola and currently owned and managed multiple rental properties, but her most treasured position was of mother and grandmother. While her children were in the home, she was very active in leadership positions in PTA, scouting, VBS, church youth group, and other community activities. If you were ever blessed enough to sit at her table or enjoy any of her baked goods, you experienced her love of cooking that was developed under her mother. She continued to touch people’s lives with this gifting throughout her life. Because of Connie’s deep faith and love for the Lord, she lived her life displaying extravagant generosity, whether it was hosting women’s ministries in her home, cooking full meals for numerous ministries and missionaries, or giving abundantly of her time and resources to others. She never met a stranger and loved sharing the gospel with all she encountered. She is survived by her 5 children, 15 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild: Kent (Shawna) Wilson and daughters Abigail (Khol) Bounds, Grace and Lillian; Kevin Wilson and children A.J. Flores, Kevin (Jessica) Flores and son Elijah, and Colby (Brad) Morrison; Ramona (Kevin) Caswell and children Morgan and Jacob; C.F. (Nicole) Rainey and children Beau, Lucy, and Olive; and Glynis (Donovan) Nelson and children Brighton, Rigley, Adleigh and Ephram. She is also survived by her siblings Ron (Patricia) Craven, Dee (Renate) Craven, Karen Szumiesz, and Neil (Luise) Craven and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Jennings; brothers Rollie Craven, Charles Craven, Clifford Craven, Gary Craven, David Craven; and sisters, Kathryn Craven Want and Jeane Craven Wilson. Funeral Service was held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany, MO. Private family burial was in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lone Star Church Building Fund in care of the Roberson-Polley Chapel, 403 N. Hundley, Albany, MO 64402. Online Condolences: www.robersonpolleychapel.com

For New Customers Until September 30, 2021 The Island City Christian & Calvary Stanberry Churches (Jude 4, For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.) From the book of Jude, the brother of James and half-brother of Jesus. Yes, Jude was the son of Mary and grew up with Jesus as a brother. (Matt. 13:55, Is this not the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us?) Yes, this is a person who would have had a very close relationship to our Lord Jesus, who is the Christ. Once again proof that Jesus came in the flesh as the 1st born of Mary. Here in the little epistle that bears his name Jude is warning about false teachers who pervert the Gospel of Grace and re-define grace into something other than the righteousness of God. If you were to look up the definition of the word ‘Grace’ you would find the word being translated into the graces of humankind as being nice and loving and giving to others. This is all good and well, but God’s Grace is an acceptance of payment due for sin and requires the one who receives it to live a life in the righteousness of the one who gave it. Grace of the world is an act of works of which many use as a claim to fame as an exhibition of God’s love. This is a type of works that brings legalism into the hearts of those involved. The grace of the world is affirming, caring, encouraging, and accepting of the attitudes and lifestyles of everyone in society to the point of being puffed up with pride. Whereas Grace from above when applied to the believer requires devotion and obedience to the righteousness of God through his Holy Word. There are those today who claim the grace of God while allowing sin to reign in the mortal being as of no consequence in the eternal. Here in Jude 4 we are told of what this grace is actually like. If you have been told that Grace means you will go without consequence for tolerating sin; look up the definition of ‘Condemnation’. From God’s Holy Word.
