~OBITUARY~ Sandra Rasco Gillespie September 24, 1940 - February 10, 2022 Sandra Rasco Gillespie, 81, of Albany, Missouri, passed away February 10, 2022 at Mosaic Life Care in Albany. Sandra was born September 24, 1940 to Wendell and Bette (Evans) Rasco at Barnard, Missouri. Sandra attended South Nodaway School in Barnard and St. Joseph Junior College and Missouri Methodist School of Nursing in St. Joseph, Missouri. Sandra married Howard Lynch and two children were born to this union, David and Cindy. They were divorced. She married James Robert Gillespie on August 19, 1967. To this union, two sons Thomas Carl and James Robert were born. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, husband James R. Gillespie, son David Ray Lynch, daughter Cindy Anne Lynch and brother Thomas Rasco. Sandra is survived by son, Thomas Carl Gillespie and James Robert Gillespie both of Albany; 3 granddaughters, Lindsey Lynch, Caitlin and Kelly Gillespie; grandson, Tyler Lynch; great grandson, Teagan Lynch; sisters, Karen (David) Dack and Wendy (Bob) Tripp; brother, Evan (Kim) Rasco; daughter-in-law, Cindy Lynch. Sandra was a 50+ year member of the Virginia Daughters DAR, 50+ year member Order of the Eastern Star, Christian Church, Albany Historical Society (Albany Heritage Society) and former board member of the Opportunity Workshop. Funeral Service was held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, with burial in the Grandview Cemetery, both in Albany, MO. Memorial Contributions may be made to Backpack Buddies, Carnegie Public Library or Albany Historical Society (Albany Heritage Society) in care of the Roberson-Polley Chapel, 403 N. ~OBITUARY~ Reba Rosalie Mastin (Aunt Rody) December 6, 1929 - February 11, 2022 Reba Rosalie Mastin (Aunt Rody) was born on December 6, 1929, to Daneth and Hettie Lykins. She was one of five kids, John (Bill), Jerry, Kathleen and Verl. Rody passed away on February 11, 2022, in Maysville, Missouri at Sunset Nursing Home. Upon graduation Rody taught school for 1 year before going to work at the Gentry County Bank in Albany, where she made her career until 2013 at the age of 82 years old. Only retiring because of health issues. Rody loved her co-workers at the bank. In her younger years she belonged to a bowling league. Rody lived on her farm northeast of Albany with her husband Harold until his passing. After his passing, Rody raised cattle with her family and loved spending time at the farm with anyone that would come visit. Rody’s legacy will be that she tried to help anyone that needed a helping hand and her love of her family. Preceding her in death are her parents, siblings, husband, great-niece, two great nephews and the love of her life, C.D. (Chick) Barnes and best friend, Pat Snead. Survivors: nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many, many friends. Funeral Service was Monday, February 14, 2022 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, with burial in the Grandview Cemetery, both in Albany, MO.
