What could Jesus mean; with us being mere mortals as accomplishing greater works than He? How about the most important, most wonderful accomplishment on this earth, salvation. Yes, that one thing we can do that is greater than all is to accept Jesus Christ as the one and only way to receive life in the eternal. If you read these three verses in context of the flesh or that which is of this world it makes no logical sense. But if we gaze into the heavenlies in Jesus’ name asking for that which has eternal rewards by giving God the glory desiring to bless God it makes logical sense.

We’re told to bring all our anxieties and cares to God with the spirit of thanksgiving and God will grant us a peace of mind that passes all understanding through the Christ Jesus. What is the most miraculous achievement we could ever be involved in? Walking in faith believing in the glory of God not only in this life but also life to come. The bible tells that the angels rejoice when even ‘1’ sinner comes to repentance. In this existence we should rejoice at our relationship and fellowship with God as we ask, ‘In Jesus Name’. You want to do great works, Praise God in Jesus name.

~OBITUARY~ Judy Quigley August 17, 1959 - July 20, 2022

Judy Stephens Quigley, 62, of Albany, Missouri, passed away July 20, 2022 at the home of her son, Jay in Albany. Judy was born August 17, 1959 in St. Joseph, Missouri. She was the daughter of Winfred L. and Helen M. (Uthe) Stephens.

Judy worked as a house manager for area group homes. She was a member of the Missouri Valley Wrench Club and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and step-grandson, Chase Stooksbury.

Survivors: son, John (Jay) Franklin Quigley V (Tera); grandchildren, John Franklin Quigley VI, and Randlynn I.B. Quigley; step-grandchildren, Jeff and Trey Stooksbury, all of Albany; brothers, Marvin (Bonnie) Uthe; Bill (Jessica) Stephens, all of Camdenton, MO; sister, Mary (Gary) Olsen, Altamont, MO; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Albany.

~OBITUARY~ Mary Jo Spaulding May 12, 1938 - July 25, 2022

Mary Jo Spaulding, 84 of Stanberry, Missouri passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Mosaic Medical Center in Albany, Missouri.

Mary Jo was born on May 12, 1938 in Silida, Colorado to Alen and Dolly (Fickle) Woolf. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Stanberry. Mary Jo was a photographer and enjoyed cooking, quilting and embroidery.

She married Ray Spaulding on May 15, 1956. He preceded her in death on July 14, 2021. She was also preceded by her parents and a son, Scotty Ray Spaulding.

Survivors include two sons, Mick (Jennifer) Spaulding and Danny (Terri) Spaulding; six grandchildren, Realeen (Jon) Weston, D.J. (Ashley) Spaulding, Dustin (Terri) Spaulding, Kaetlin (KelDan) Hyman, Mickayla Spaulding, Zack Spaulding and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at the High Ridge Cemetery in Stanberry, Missouri under the care of Price Funeral Home in Maryville, MO.

Randy Hall, 72, King City, MO passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, at a Lee’s Summit, MO medical center.

He was born on November 13, 1949, in Stanberry, Missouri the son of Eldon Eugene and Barbara (Dawkins) Hall.

On July 28, 2007, he married Tammy Laun at the First Christian Church, King City, MO. She survives of the home.

Randy served in the United States Air Force and then became a technical school instructor in the HVAC trade. He loved bass fishing, riding motorcycles, camping and travelling as he had many friends across the country. He was a member of the Stanberry United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an aunt and uncle, Pat and Earl Foster.

In addition to his wife, Randy is survived by his son, Eddie (Andrea) Hall, Waxahachie, TX; daughter, Tanya (Rick) Taylor, Burkburnett, TX and grandchildren, Adyson, Garrett, and Mason Hall.

Funeral Services were held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 at the Stanberry United Methodist Church, under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home both in Stanberry, MO. Burial with Military Rites followed in High Ridge Cemetery, also in Stanberry.

~OBITUARY~ Richard William “Dick” Davidson December 5, 1934 - July 24, 2022

Richard William Davidson was born December 5, 1934 in Nashua, Iowa and passed away July 24, 2022 at Mosaic Medical Center in Albany, Missouri at the age of 87 years and 7 months. Richard was married to his wife Norma on June 28, 1953 in Nashua, Iowa. They had just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. Richard was a member of the Albany United Methodist Church.

Richard graduated from Nashua High School in May of 1953.

He then attended the Iowa University of Radiologic Technology and worked in radiology for many years. Later he pursued college credits and credentials and became licensed in Physical Therapy and Nursing Home Administration. The last 30 years of his career were spent in hospital administration at Gentry County Memorial Hospital, Albany (now known as Mosaic Medical Center-Albany); Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Missouri; and Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri where he retired after sixteen years of service.

Dick is survived by his wife Norma (Dietz) Davidson. Norma presently resides at Orilla’s Way in Grant City, Missouri. They are the parents of four daughters Peggy and Jeff Davis, Albany; Dixie and Bob McGinley, Albany; Becky and Bruce Shisler, Stanberry; and Brenda and Patrick Collins, Blue Springs, Missouri. They have 12 grandchildren Michael and Amanda Davis, St. Joseph, Missouri; Tim and Amber Davis, Albany; Jordan and Marianne Davis, Albany; Jacob and Alexis Davis, Albany; Melanie (McGinley) and Adam Salmon, Oak Grove, Missouri; Justin McGinley, Peoria, Arizona; Jared and Amanda McGinley, Hamilton, Missouri; and Melissa (McGinley) and Andrew Anderson, Mason City, Iowa; Jessica (Collins) and Jay Kolster, Blue Springs, Missouri; Courtney (Collins) and Shawn Chappell, Louisburg, Kansas; Clay and Valerie Shisler, Albany; and Megan (Shisler) and Brian McClure, Olathe, Kansas. He is also survived by 26 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. Family gatherings to celebrate holidays and birthdays were his greatest enjoyment.

While in high school Richard enjoyed participating in basketball, football, and scouting. He was a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say and earned Order of Arrow Award and Eagle Scout. In his early adult years, he enjoyed officiating basketball, football, softball, and baseball games. He was a member of Rotary Club, member of the Missouri Hospital Association serving both short and long term committees, member of Chamber of Commerce, served as Chairman of Eastridge Apartments Development, instrumental in the addition of the ICU at Gentry County Memorial Hospital and the building of Albany Physician Clinic Building.

He taught Red Cross First Aid was a member of disaster team.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Wilma Davidson, sister Donna Johnsrud, sister-in-law Phyllis Pelland, brother-in-law Marvin Dietz, mother and father-in-law Hattie and William Dietz.

A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date at the Grandview Cemetery in Albany, Missouri.
