Married life began in Kansas with Richard working as a civil draftsman at Western Air Maps and Marilyn working at New Holland Warehouse. In 1974, the couple moved back to Northwest Missouri where they began farming.

Their family grew with 5 children: Stephanie Robertson (Phil, Blake, (Rychelle, Trishelle), & Ava); Melissa Mattson (Michael, Blythe, Sydney, Tarynn, Kiley); Tony Fletchall (Fawnla, Korbin, Leo, Easton); James Fletchall (Stella & Hudson); and Elizabeth Stewart (Lane).

Marilyn is the daughter of the late Leo & Lucille Henggeler and Richard, the son of Betty and the late Joe Fletchall. They have cultivated a love for family and the land on the century farm where previous generations farmed. Anniversary wishes may be sent to 32792 Panther Rd., Stanberry, MO 64489.

ALL K-12 PARENTS AND GUARDIANS – CHANGES IN REGISTRATION PROCESS!!

Student Registration for grades K-12 is once again online for the 2021-2022 school year! PARENTS and GUARDIANS of NEW STUDENTS may stop by their respective school office between 8:30 – 3:00 anytime August 16-18 to register your student or you may complete the registration through the Lumens Parent Portal at home. There are limited paper forms to fill out as everything is now converted online through the Lumens Student Information System (SIS). The portal will open for registration on Monday, August 16. You will need to know your Parent Portal Lumen login information to access online registration.

2021-2022 Missouri School Immunization Requirements

•

All students must present documentation of up-to-date immunization status, including month, day, and year of each immunization before attending school.

•

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) allows a 4-day grace period. Students in all grade levels may receive immunizations up to four days before the due date.

•

Required immunizations should be administered according to the current Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices Schedule, including all spacing, (http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/schedules/index.html).

•

To remain in school, students "in progress" must have an Immunization In Progress form (Imm.P.14) on file. In progress means that a child has begun the vaccine series and has an appointment for the next dose. This appointment must be kept and an updated record provided to the school. If the appointment is not kept, the child is no longer in progress and is noncompliant. (i.e., Hep B vaccine series was started but the child is not yet eligible to receive the next dose in the series.)

•

Religious (Imm.P.11A) and Medical (Imm.P.12) exemptions are allowed. The appropriate exemption card must be on file. Unimmunized children are subject to exclusion from school when outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases occur. .

A complete application is required as a condition of eligibility. A complete application includes: (1) household income from all sources or Food Stamp/TANF case number, (2) names of all household members, and (3) the signature and last four digits of social security number or indication of no social security number of adult household member signing the application. Foster children may be eligible regardless of the income of the household with whom they reside.

If a family member becomes unemployed or if family size changes, the family should contact the school to file a new application. Such changes may make the children of the family eligible for these benefits.

Households will be notified of their children’s eligibility status for free or reduced price meals. If any children were not listed on the eligibility notice for families receiving SNAP, TANF or FDPIR, the household should contact the school to have free meal benefits extended to those children.

If any child(ren) was not listed on the eligibility notice, the household should contact the LEA or school to have free meal benefits extended to that child(ren).

If a parent is dissatisfied with the ruling of the determining official, they may wish to discuss the decision with the hearing official on an informal basis or he/she may make a request either orally or in writing to the Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Bob Heddinger.

Hearing procedures are outlined in the policy. A complete copy of the policy is on file in each school and in the central office where any interested party may review it.

No one comes to the Father except through Me.”) If, or should I say when you hear something unfamiliar in biblical understanding take time to check it out. This is what John is telling us to do. Test the spirits to see if what has been said is from a clear and concise biblical perspective. In these latter days fellow believers are coming forward with questions about phrases, statements or conclusions that do not fit into the context of true biblical understanding. We pursue scripture with a threefold method that consist of: Observation, Interpretation and Application. Observation comes simply by reading the text. Interpretation looks at what, where, why and the who’s, along with repeated words or phrases that show emphasis. Then comes the most important aspect of our Christian faith, Application. Apply the Word of God to your life today.

~OBITUARY ~ George Richard (Dick) Stephenson September 3, 1933 - July 16, 2021 George Richard (Dick) Stephenson was born September 3, 1933 to John Dale and Dorotha Grace Stephenson in Denver, Missouri. He attended country school at Siloam Springs and graduated from high school in Albany in 1951.

Dick passed away July 16, 2021 at his home in Albany at the age of 87.

Dick joined the United States Army in December of 1953 and after two years of active duty, served in the Reserves being honorably discharged in June 1962.

In February of 1956, Dick married Deloris Murphy. To this union, one son Eric Dale (Rick) Stephenson was born.

On November 15, 1986, Dick and Myrna Johnson Reinhart were married. She survives of the home.

He is also survived by his son, Rick, Independence, MO; stepdaughter, Rebecca and husband Butch Flaherty; stepson, Paul and wife Peg Reinhart, all of Albany; grandchildren, Matthew (Flag) Flaherty, Maryville; Megan Flaherty, Kellie (Tim) Runnels and Jacob (Amber) Reinhart, all of Albany; three great grandchildren, Paige and Truman Runnels, Albany; Turner Reinhart, St. Joseph; sister, Bernice; sisters-in-law, Barbara and Rosemary Stephenson, all of Grant City; many loved nieces and nephews.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents,and brothers; Donald, John (JV), Harold, and Phillip.

Dick owned and operated Dick’s MFA and Propane in Albany for 50 years, and in later years Dick’s Auto Sales. Dick was also a past President of the Albany Rotary.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany. Burial was in the Grandview Cemetery, Albany. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Dick Stephenson Memorial Fund in care of the Roberson-Polley Chapel, 403 N. Hundley, Albany, MO 64402. Online condolences: www.robersonpolleychapel.com

~OBITUARY ~ JIM HUGHES October 4, 1931 - July 14, 2021 Jim Hughes, 89, of Stanberry, Missouri, passed away July 14, 2021 at Pine View Manor in Stanberry.

Jim was born October 4, 1931 in Worth, Missouri, the son of Franklin Joseph and Hazel Elizabeth (Rybolt) Hughes.

On July 2, 1954, Jim was united in marriage to Mary Louise Pierce. She preceded him in death March 13, 1994.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his son Steven Hughes, brothers Joseph and Robert Hughes and sisters Helen Hamilton and Frances Lynch.

Jim was a foreman for the Missouri Highway Department in Stanberry, where he retired.

Jim was a member of the First Baptist Church in Albany, and a member of the Raymond Sager American Legion Post #260 of Stanberry. He loved golfing and sports.

Survivors: sons, David (Lori) Hughes; Kevin (Linda) Hughes; daughter-in-law, Pam Hughes, all of Stanberry; sister, Marjorie Dennis, Kansas City, MO; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Jim married Anna L. Gardner July 18, 1994. She preceded him in death February 15, 2020.

He is also survived by her children, James Dale (Donna) Gladstone, Worth; Cinda (Galen) Jennings, Des Moines, IA; Jennifer (Sam) Coburn, Worth; Amy Jo Gladstone, Worth.
