The Island City Christian & Calvary Stanberry Churches
(Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.) Words of wisdom from God through the man who is said to be the wisest of anyone who has ever been or will ever be: Solomon, son of David. We should notice one thing in this translation that some modern versions of the Bible have changed. ‘he shall direct thy paths’. Some of these versions have substituted the phrase ‘he will make your paths straight’. I’ve heard it said this is not a matter of contention but there is a big difference in the intention of God by preserving this bit of wisdom if we consider our path verses God’s path. There are those who decide that the path they are on must be one of god’s desire and so-called plan for their life no matter how occurrences align with the whole council of God. Does God have a plan for your life? Yes, as Jesus would say in: (Luke 24:47, And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.) Yes, this is God’s plan for you in your life that we should align ourselves with the righteousness of God believing His Holy word and receiving direction to choose the path that would lead us to eternal life in the Heavenlies. At times the paths we choose may not be aligned with the Holiness of God and should be re-directed or make a U-turn to get back on the straight and narrow. Do not be deceived in thinking your path is in God’s plan if it does not lead you into a lifestyle of repentance from this wicked and perverse generation. (Col 3:17, And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him..) (Matt 7:13-14, “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.) The path of Jesus and not the god of this world.

Angel is an Australian Cattle Dog mix that was surrender to us on July 4th. She is 2 years old and knows the commands sit, stay, lay down, fetch, drop it, and leave it. Angel is very good around other pets. She weighs 28 pounds and has been spayed. rabies vaccination is out of date and she hasn’t been vaccinated for distemper/parvo yet. As soon as our vet is back from vacation we plan getting her up to date on her vaccinations.
