This same type of temptation leads many to justify their actions only because it would be pleasing to the flesh or attractive to others. (Then the devil took him up into the holy city and set him on a pinnacle of the Temple. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.) This is one of the most discouraging misuses of the word of God from the 91st Psalm. Satan, encouraging Jesus to ‘kill himself’. Go ahead and jump off and destroy yourself as God is good with it and will send Angels to protect you. Again the devil took him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them, And said to him, All these will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down, and worship me. Then said Jesus unto him, “Away with you, Satan!: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. The god of this world is big on promising temporary rewards to those who will worship him. Jeffrey Lynn Salsman, 57, of Albany, Missouri, passed away at his home on Monday, May 20, 2024.

Jeff was born in Albany, Missouri on November 19, 1967 to Mary E. (Salsman) Chipp-Halls.

Jeff graduated from Albany R-III High School in 1986. He worked at the Flywheel Factory in Stanberry, maintenance at Gentry County Memorial Hospital and Gentry County Courthouse and worked in construction and cutting wood.

Jeff’s greatest joy was playing Xbox with a friend  on Monday nights, spending time with friends and family, the outdoors, watching birds at the feeders and squirrels and a love for music.

He is survived by his mother and step father, Mary E. Chip-Halls and James Halls; half brother, Robert B. Chipp and several cousins.

Jeff was preceded in death by his grandmother Maxine Burns, grandfathers, uncles and aunts.
