No rain from the sky means no fear of storms or risk of flooding. It will not rain until Noah and the flood; what a surprise that would have been for those consumed by that which came from the sky bringing about their demise, only to display God’s promise in the Rainbow. From the beginning God did not want puppets; hence the ability to choose, we call this free will. (2:16-17, God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eats thereof thou shalt surely die.) Living in a virtual paradise mankind was given the right to choose between good and evil. (Joshua 24.15, And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom you will serve.
