End of year thesis project for MPS Fashion Management
Nava Collective is a sustainable fashion concept I created to address an industry dynamic I have consistently observed: streetwear artists working at the grassroots level and being overlooked, underpaid, or co-opted by larger brands. My project proposes a hyperlocal business model supported by a digital platform that sources original garments directly from streetwear creators and supports makers through ethical marketing, immersive brand storytelling, and lean production practices.
At its core, Nava is about flipping the traditional supply chain. Instead of extracting creativity from the margins and packaging it as luxury, Nava retains the origin community's authorship, credit, and profit. Think of the model as a hybrid of a decentralized fashion label and a curated cultural exchange partner, in which each piece is made by real people with stories and a stake in their own success.
