his Cinco de Mayo is filled with free concerts, celebrations of Mexican culture and heritage and, yes, plenty of opportunities to chow down on some delicious cuisine. Whether you’re in the mood to learn more about the holiday or just feeling festive, there’s a little something for everyone.

MusIC & ENtErtAINMENt Fiesta en La CaLLe

12-6 p.m. Sunday, 2115 6th St. The 18th annual Fiesta En La Calle returns to Southside Park, featuring performances by MALO, Sacred Fire (Santana tribute band), Dinorah and Crosswinds and InnerSoul. There will also be a classic car show presented by Compadres Bombs & Family First auto clubs, lots of food, and Coronas served on draft. Fiesta En La Calle will also feature dancers, clowns and plenty of kid-friendly entertainment. The event is sponsored by Verizon, Comcast, Wells Fargo Bank, D’Chaleco, Hot 103.5 FM and Corona. Proceeds from this event will go to Mi Gente Foundation, a nonprofit benefiting families affected by ICE (Immigration, Customs and Enforcement) and will also assist low-income students to help them stay in school.

CinCo de Mayo ConCert

5:30-10 p.m., Saturday, 500 Leisure Lane The “King of Latin Soul” Joe Bataan will perform at the Woodlake Red Lion Hotel Grove Amphitheater singing his hits “I Wish You Love,” “Under the Street Lamp” and many more. The concert will also featuring the music of the Latin All-Stars with Richard Bean. Tickets are $22.50 in advance and $30 for VIP preferred seating with a poster and meet-and-greet opportunity. Tickets at the door are $35. Purchase tickets online at Ticketmaster. com or in person at Dimple Records or the Woodlake Red Lion Hotel.

10 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, 1551 Vineyard Road, Roseville The premier farmers market and swap meet in Roseville will celebrate the second annual Cinco Denio’s on Sunday, featuring an assortment of authentic Mexican cuisine, mariachi bands, traditional dancing, lowrider cars on display, homemade goodies and all the fresh produce you’re craving. RoRo and Max Alvarez from Sacramento Republic FC will also be making an appearance. Parking is $3.

CinCo de Mayo BLoCk Party

12-5 p.m. Sunday, 3443 Laguna Blvd., Elk Grove Come out to Pins N Strikes in Elk Grove for an exciting Cinco de Mayo Block Party featuring the music of A Lighter Shade of Brown, Solsa and the Midnight Players and, of course, bowling! The event is open to all ages, and Pins N Strikes will be serving food and drinks at special prices. Tickets are $15 per person and $5 for kids 12 and under.

CulturAl/DANCE/MusEuM Paint and SiP

7 p.m. Monday, 3460 2nd Ave. Looking for something unique to do for Cinco de Mayo? Come to Patris Gallery and Studio and learn to paint while sipping margaritas. Local acrylic artist Rachel Cate will lead you through the process of creating your own Cinco de Mayo-inspired painting to hang in your home. Tickets are $30 and include instruction, canvas, brushes, paints, chips and salsa, and one complimentary margarita. Refills are available for a suggested donation of $3. 9 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 p.m. Monday, 1200 K St. Located on K Street in downtown Sacramento, Tequila Museo Mayahuel is a tequila museum featuring a bar, restaurant and lounge. Mayahuel will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo celebration on both Saturday and Monday featuring a live performance by Dinorah and Crosswinds.

8 p.m.-2 a.m. Monday, 2003 K St. Dance the night away at Sacramento’s premier gay nightclub. Badlands features four bars, a large dance floor, lush outdoor patio and a second-floor mezzanine and outdoor balcony overlooking K Street nightlife. Adults 21 and over.

5 p.m.-close Friday-Monday, 1027 2nd St. La Terraza in Old Sac will feature live performances all weekend and on Cinco de Mayo by Trio and other artists. Drink specials will be available.

CinCo dE Mayo at zoCalo

11:30 a.m.-close Friday-Monday, 1801 Capitol Ave. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in the heart of Midtown at Zocalo. Festivities will include the Southern Yucatan folk music of Trio. A mariachi band will perform on Friday, Saturday and Monday nights. There will be tequila and margarita specials and happy hour is from 3-6 p.m. all weekend.

vallEjo’s rEstaurant Party on thE Patio

5-11 p.m. Friday and Monday, 1100 O St. Known for its famous salsa, swing by Vallejo’s on Friday and Monday for a Cinco de Mayo Party on the Patio. Friday’s event will feature salsa, funk and merengue by DJ Enrique and DJ Alejandro. There will also be a special live performance by Q-Vo, playing Chicano soul and oldies. Monday’s event will feature live mariachi during lunchtime from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., and DJ Tiny will spin music beginning at 5 p.m. $10 for Friday, and Monday is free.
