f you’re tired of hearing the word “beer,” you might want to shove something in your ears, because over the next 10 days you’re not going hear much else. Butte County’s beer bars, breweries, restaurants, retailers and distributors have pulled out all the stops to saturate Chico and its environs with craft-beer events, and the Chico News & Review has enjoyed working with them to put together this schedule for Chico Beer Week 2016. There are some great breweries—some of them brand new—coming to town with goodies, and there are a lot of offerings from Beer Week online: www.chicobeerweek.net cellars that are being dusted off. Chico Beer Week is a time for special treats, and there are many opportunities for unique beer adventures.

The Chico News & Review Foundation and Fork in the Road present a craft-beer and street-food rally, with 11 craft breweries pouring samples alongside a dozen local food trucks. Featured breweries: Ballast Point, Drake’s, Etna, Feather Falls Casino, Feather River, Knee Deep, Lost Coast, Rubicon, Secret Trail, Sierra Nevada and Wildcard. Free entry.
