Shipbuilder Steering the Way Brenda Chapman (O46), was recently presented a level one Ethics On-the-Spot Award by Ray Bagley, vice president of Trades Operations, for her ethical behavior. Chapman recovered approximately two hundred dollars worth of new washers and other scrap material from the trash. Chapman’s questioning attitude and initiative reduced costs for the company and has allowed for the material to be readily available for utilization on the ship. To nominate a fellow employee for an On-the-Spot Ethics Award, visit the EEO, Ethics and Compliance website on Yardnet or contact Catrina Hagwood (O18) at 688-1907.
