WE PREPARE SERVANTS TO WALK WITH CHRIST, PROCLAIM HIS TRUTH, AND FULFILL HIS MISSION.
“I love (our) mission. I love our city … I love the favor God has given us. I love our people most of all.” President Dew said. “I love watching my people rise to the occasion and work hard with passion and joy and the kingdom in their hearts. Oh, that glorious day when we will hear,
‘Well done, good and faithful steward!’ Matthew 25:23”
THE FAITHFUL MANAGER
“A person should think of us in this way: as servants of Christ and managers of the mysteries of God.”
I Corinthians 4:1
GOD’S PERSPECTIVE OF STEWARDSHIP
“Every good and perfect gift is from above.”
James 1:17
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”
I Peter 4:10
“Instruct those who are rich in the present age not to be arrogant or to set their hope on the uncertainty of wealthy, but on God, who richly provides us with all things to enjoy. Instruct them to do what is good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and willing to share, storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of what is truly life.”
I Timothy 6:17
“Bring in the full tenth into the storehouse so that there may be food in my house. Test me in this way,” says the Lord of Armies. “See if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out a blessing for you without measure.”
Malachi 3:10

EMPOWERING THE CALLED

FOSTERING GROWTH:
ENSURING ON-TIME GRADUATION AND MINISTRY PREPARATION
Fostering growth through student success is Mr. Casey Evans’ responsibility as Registrar. He desires for students to graduate from the degree program totally aligned with their Spirit-led aspirations for ministry. Donors like you help bolster the efforts of each academic advisor and support staff member who guides and assists students in achieving their educational goals. The student advisors aim to assist students in graduating promptly so that they are prepared to advance in their ministry roles.

STEWARDING WITH TRANSPARENCY & ACCOUNTABILITY
“Transparency, accountability, and clear communication are the most important hallmarks of good stewardship. We want our donors, friends, and alumni to accurately know what our needs are, and for them to know that we are being the best stewards that we can be. One of the reasons that we are so willing to send out our full audit to our friends, is that we want them to see the totality of all that is being done, and that they can trust that we will do what we say we will do”.
- Dr. Mike Wetzel Vice President of Institutional Advancement, NOBTS & Leavell College
Every year a complete audit is performed on the seminary’s finances by the MWH Group, P.C. For the past 5 years, the seminary has continued to receive outstanding audit ratings from our outside auditors meaning NOBTS’s financial statements present a true and fair view and can be trusted.
STEWARDING YOUR GENEROSITY
& TREASURES - FINANCIAL GIFTS -
Under the leadership of President Dr. Jamie Dew and Vice President of Institutional Advancement Dr. Mike Wetzel since 2019, NOBTS and Leavell College has weathered numerous challenges, including two hurricanes and a global pandemic. Throughout it all, our loyal alumni and friends have stood by us. The percentage of donors contributing $75 or more annually has increased by 7%, a testament to their unwavering support over the years.
Amidst these trials, we recognize God’s grace and provision, which have remained constant. The faithful stewardship of resources and finances, guided by our Trustee Board, reflects our commitment to honoring God’s blessings. This journey has been a testament to His favor, and we humbly give Him all the glory.
The Providence Fund goal in 2019 was $1 million and today it is $1.375 million.

THE PROVIDENCE FUND
AN UNRESTRICTED FUND THAT IS CRITICAL TO DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS OF THE SEMINARY.
“Every dollar you give to the Providence Fund is a dollar our students don’t have to pay. Your generous investment frees them to focus on where God is leading them and moves them closer to fulfilling His plans. Plus, you get to be a part of something much bigger than yourself. Your gifts will change lives, here on campus and around the world, for God’s glory! We have been given much, and this is a place that’s worthy of our investment. And giving offers us another way to be part of equipping a new generation.”
- Dr. Jody Dean | Professor of Christian Education & Graduate of Leavell College & NOBTS
“When a person makes a donation to the seminary, those efforts are multiplied because students spend a lifetime using the education those funds provide. Every person they reach with the gospel then shares and reaches more people with the gospel. So if you’re thinking from a very practical, return-on-your investment stance, this is a phenomenal way to get a great return.”
- Dr. Kristyn Carver | Professor of Counseling at NOBTS & Leavell College | A graduate who experienced the blessing of financial gifts as a student and now actively gives to the seminary.
THE ENDOWMENT FUND
IS A PERMANENT, SELF-SUSTAINING SOURCE OF FUNDING. MANY ALUMNI AND FRIENDS ESTABLISH SCHOLARSHIPS AS ENDOWMENTS.
“We have students who are called, but they have real needs. They’re still working and serving their churches. They still have family emergencies. If they’re in an academic program that requires them to take 9-12 hours, they’ve got all of that on top of it. The fact that they get to be a part of this community because it’s affordable to them and because they have ongoing support, makes this an amazing place. There are so many needs because this is such great work. God is truly working at NOBTS and Leavell College.”
- Dr. Tommy Doughty | Associate Dean of Leavell College

“Stewardship in Christian higher education transcends mere responsibility; it is a sacred trust. Every gift from our donors is a blessing entrusted to us to steward God’s Kingdom for the transformation of our students in learning and service. Properly stewarding these gifts means honoring the faith of our donors and their trust in us, ensuring that our actions reflect the values of integrity and gratitude. In doing so, we not only enhance our institution but prepare students who walk with Christ, proclaim His truth, and fulfill His mission.”
- DR. LARRY LYON Vice President for Business Administration
“An institution like NOBTS and all of her assets is a profoundly important instrument for the Lord and His kingdom. He has entrusted that instrument into our hands, and together, we oversee her work, mission, and impact. That stewardship is a sacred thing that we take very seriously, and pray for God’s favor. This stewardship is both sobering and joyful, and it is a privilege that we have this opportunity and responsibility together.”
- DR. JAMIE DEW President of NOBTS and Leavell College
