DEAR CUSTOMERS, PLUMBERS WHO HAVE NOT INSTALLED A FILL VALVE INTO A CISTERN AT SOME POINT IN THEIR CAREER ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. Geberit fill valves rarely require any maintenance. The sophisticated apparatus carry out their task without problems, fully automatically and with clockwork precision for decades on end. Only limescale deposits and mineral impurities in the water can cause them problems.

Nearly perfect? We think you’ll agree.

But only nearly, which is why our engineers have now developed an even better fill valve. It now consists of just 20 individual parts and is suitable for installation in virtu­ ally any cistern type, regardless of whether the cistern is made of ceramic or plastic. Geberit applied for two new patents when developing this valve. You can judge for yourself as to whether the effort that went into development has paid off the next time you have to install a fill valve.

When planning a bathroom, the most diverse customer needs have to be met. These result from the floor plan and situation on site as well as from the usage behaviour of the users themselves. Every customer has their own specific requirements when it comes to their bathroom. With the Acanto bathroom series, Geberit therefore offers complete flexibility in order to respond to these needs.

When developing the Acanto bathroom series, Geberit relied on an in-house study that shows what’s really important to consumers when it comes to the bathroom. Regardless of size and floor plan, the desire for sufficient storage space is the most important consideration, followed directly by the desire to always have important items within reach.

The study also shows that things used every day, such as toothpaste and toothbrush, should be within optimum reach – i.e. the radius of an adult’s forearm. All other items, such as towels, can be stored in the zone that you can easily reach with outstretched arms without moving your body.

The furniture for the Acanto bathroom series was designed based on these results. The bathroom series comprises a wide range of washbasins and bathroom furniture, Rimfree toilets, bidets and bathtubs. With this series, sanitary professionals can meet virtually every requirement when it comes to the perfect bathroom for their customers.

SLIM AND PRACTICAL Versatile and with clever functions, Acanto bathroom furniture offers great scope for individual bathroom design. Inside, the optional drawer inserts, the compartments and the shelves create an uncluttered environment and ensure that the storage space is optimally utilised. The Acanto magnetic boards make it possible for customers to attach storage trays precisely where cosmetic products or other items are needed. These trays can also be rearranged in next to no time. ↑ A single person can attach many of the pieces of furniture to the wall without the need for a second person. We recommend two people when installing larger cabinets or washbasins.

EASY INSTALLATION – SECURE FASTENING OF TOILETS AND WASHBASINS Wall-hung WCs and bidets are quickly and securely installed with the Geberit fastening for wall-hung WCs and bidets EFF2 (Easy Fast Fix). The wall-hung WCs are delivered with premounted fastenings. To install the WC ceramic appliance, it therefore only has to be mounted on the threaded rods in the wall. The fixings can then be tightened with a hexagon key from above through the holes where the WC seat is attached.

The fastening system EFF1 (Easy Fast Fix) – which is available with the 90 cm and 120 cm Geberit Acanto washbasins – makes it easier to install larger washbasins by oneself. The EFF1 is also premounted into the washbasin ceramic appliance and fixes the ceramic appliance after it has been mounted on the hanger bolts. It is then no longer necessary to hold the washbasin. To complete the installation process, the plumber aligns the washbasin and secures the screw connection with a nut.

cabinet is a true innovation. With storage options mounted on the inside of the wing doors and a magnifying mirror, everything is in close proximity to the user.

VERSATILE AND BEAUTIFUL A distinguishing design feature of the Acanto washbasins is their slim contours with clearly defined radii and narrow edges. These include standard washbasins with various projections, both with and without a shelf surface, as well as compact washbasins for small bathrooms. Those who like it even “slimmer” will enjoy the vanity basins with a SlimRim design. The washbasin with integrated shelf surface on the right – on which bathroom accessories can be placed – is a real eye-catcher. This surface beside the basin section of the washbasin is directly embedded into the overall form and is slightly deeper than the surrounding washbasin rim.

GLOSSY AND EASY TO CLEAN THANKS TO SPECIAL GLAZE All ceramic sanitary appliances in the bathroom series are optionally available with the special KeraTect glaze from Keramag. This ensures hygiene and a radiant glow. The glaze is permanently bonded with the ceramic in a process that sees it baked on at high temperatures, creating a virtually non-porous and extremely smooth surface. This largely prevents dirt and bacteria from sticking to the surface, thus reducing the use of cleaning agents.

There is also a great deal of choice when it comes to toilets and bidets, which are available as both wall-hung and floor-standing versions. All models have a closed outer shape and hidden fastenings. This simplifies cleaning and looks great to boot. All Acanto toilets are designed without a flush rim as standard. There are therefore no hidden places where dirt and deposits can build up – and all this while offering an excellent flushing-out performance.

WIMBLEDON NO.1 COURT SET TO RECEIVE A RETRACTABLE ROOF

A SHELTERED GEM In 2009, the world-famous Centre Court in Wimbledon was equipped with a retractable roof. Since then, no tennis match in this stadium has had to be postponed because of the weather. Eight years later, No. 1 Court is now also undergoing a modernisation and also receiving a roof that can be closed when it rains. Like with Centre Court, the tried-and-tested Geberit Pluvia roof drainage system is being used here.

A total of 64 Pluvia roof outlets and around 2,000 metres of Geberit PE pipes are being installed in the movable roof elements. These ensure that the rainwater is quickly and reliably drained from the roof even during very heavy rainfall.

COMPACT AND VERSATILE The Geberit AquaClean Tuma is a compact all-rounder for every home. Thanks to the choice between WC complete solution and WC enhancement solution, the shower toilet offers a high degree of flexibility, particularly for tenants. The AquaClean Tuma is now also available as a Classic model.

Thanks to the AquaClean Tuma’s elegant and extremely compact design, you can enhance the comfort in small bathrooms and transform them into oases of well-being in next to no time – a perfect solution for anyone who would like to enjoy the advantages of cleaning with water without the need for extensive conversions.

The latest shower toilet from Geberit is now available in the two models Classic and Comfort. The AquaClean Tuma Classic offers the basic functions of a shower toilet, including WhirlSpray shower technology and a Rimfree WC ceramic appliance. The Comfort model boasts additional comfort functions that can be easily controlled via a remote control and that make cleaning with water a unique experience. A remote control app is also available for both models.

As an alternative to the WC complete solution, the Geberit AquaClean Tuma is also available as a WC enhancement solution in the Classic and Comfort models. The enhancement solution can be fitted to various WC ceramic appliances without any problems, thus enabling easy retrofitting. The new enhancement solution therefore represents a perfect, quickly implementable and flexible solution, particularly for tenants who want to enjoy the feeling of cleanliness and freshness.

The Geberit AquaClean Tuma Classic shower toilet is available from your local bathroom retailer from April 2018. The Geberit AquaClean Tuma Comfort is already available.

THE REMOTE CONTROL APP With the AquaClean app, Geberit offers the possibility of operating the Tuma Comfort shower toilet from your smartphone, thus enabling personal settings to be stored and taken with you when travelling. In order to also be able to offer the comfort functions for the Classic model, the remote control app is now also available for this model: spray arm position, spray intensity, shower water temperature and oscillating spray can be set via the app, thus ensuring that this additional comfort can also be enjoyed with the Geberit AquaClean Tuma Classic.

THE GEM Among Geberit’s comprehensive range of actuator plates, there is something for everyone’s taste. Different materials, designs and colours as well as an array of different surfaces open up a wide range of possibilities for giving every bathroom the right emphasis.

The launch of the Geberit actuator plate Sigma21 sees the roll-out of the highest-quality actuator plate with round buttons to date. The design is based on that of the Sigma20. The versions made of glass (black, white or sand grey) impress thanks to a precise cut that reflects the light in sophisticated fashion.

The “Mustang Slate” (Brazilian slate) version represents the first time that Geberit’s range of actuator plates features a natural material. Furthermore, individual customer wishes can also be implemented.

GEBERIT VARIFORM WASHBASINS

With a lay-on washbasin, the washbasin area looks elegant and tidy.

The look of a bathroom and its washbasin area is largely determined by the washbasin. Geberit offers appropriate washbasins in all sizes, designs and installation types.

Countertop washbasins are partly inserted into the countertop (right). The under-countertop washbasins offer added shelf surface (bottom).

With VariForm, Geberit has supplemented its range with the addition of under-countertop, countertop and lay-on washbasins in a variety of different sizes and shapes.

The washbasins are available in a round, rectangular, oval and elliptic design. As a result, the portfolio offers virtually unlimited design variety when it comes to bathroom solutions in public sanitary facilities and washbasin areas in hotel and private bathrooms.

ELEGANCE THANKS TO SLIM RIM The ceramic sanitary appliances with particularly slim rims are timelessly beautiful.

Their design therefore suits virtually any bathroom. As not all washbasin areas can be designed the same way, the VariForm solutions are available both with or without a tap hole bench in the versions countertop and lay-on washbasin.

Depending on the requirements, desired design and construction situation, the washbasin tap can be attached to the ceramic appliance or the under-countertop plate as a deck-mounted tap or to the prewall installation as a wall-mounted tap.

FILL VALVE TYPE 333

A UNIVERSAL GENIUS Because the new Geberit fill valve type 333 is the right solution for the majority of cases, every plumbing service vehicle should have them in stock at all times.

A clogged or leaky fill valve in a ceramic or plastic cistern? No problem. With the new Geberit fill valve type 333, replacement is taken care of in no time. The flow-optimised, whisper-quiet valve is designed for the pressure range 0.1 to 10 bar and can therefore be used all over the world.

Thanks to its proven membrane technology, it is also largely unaffected by impurities in the water. The two 3/8" connection nipples of different lengths made of brass or plastic meet all market needs. The type 333 was tested according to relevant standards and approved by external testing institutes.

TILE-BEARING GEBERIT SHOWER CHANNEL CLEANLINE

NEW DRAIN VERSION Geberit now offers a tile-bearing version of the tried-and-tested shower channel CleanLine.

Thanks to its timeless design and easy cleaning, the Geberit CleanLine shower channel has been proving very popular among building owners and end users since its market launch. With the CleanLine impressing due to its sophisticated and reliable installation process, plumbers and tilers are also sold on it.

Geberit is now adding a tile-bearing version to its range.

The slope in the shower floor can be designed differently depending on the tile type.

The outlet and cover can also be installed right next to the wall.

The tile-bearing water outlet cover is made of stainless steel.

The core element of the CleanLine shower channels is the installation set with integrated trap and factory-applied sealing foil. This set is attached to the building shell and connected to the building drainage by the plumber. Thanks to the tile-bearing cover, the customer’s desire for a fully tiled shower floor and virtually invisible outlet can now also be fulfilled with ease. The installation process is very similar to the one for the flat shower channel made of stainless steel.

The cover, which contains a comb insert that stops long hair and the like from entering the drain, can be removed with a flick of the wrist – and cleaning the comb insert is child’s play.

The distance frame is seamlessly integrated behind the sanitary module.

With a depth of just 2.5 cm, the distance frame creates sufficient space to prevent the need for walls to be opened up.

With a distance frame, a Geberit Monolith sanitary module for WCs can be installed without the hassle of opening up the wall – even with a “rear centre” water supply connection. The decisive impetus for this solution came from a customer.

The Geberit Monolith sanitary modules for WCs are designed in such a way that they can be installed instead of an exposed cistern without the need for adaptation work. Unless the water supply connection is located “rear centre”, that is. In such cases, the plumber had to open up the wall and install the connection. However, this is now a thing of the past.

It all began a couple of years ago when a plumber showed a Geberit technical advisor a self-built frame structure: “When I have to install a Monolith where the water supply connection is ‘rear centre’, I can create the required space for connections and the reinforced braided hose with this frame structure,” he said with pride. Shortly afterwards, the technical advisor contacted the developers of the Monolith sanitary module and described this frame to them. The product engineers explained that although such a structure was considered when developing the Monolith, the assumption was that there would be no demand for it.

SHARING KNOWLEDGE Geberit frequently receives ideas and suggestions from experts.

These often lead to better products and even more versatile solutions.

The plumber’s self-built solution proved the opposite was the case. Geberit therefore now offers a distance frame with a depth of 2.5 cm for its Monolith sanitary modules for WCs. This distance frame can be processed and cut to the required size on site and can be used with all models (H101, H114 and Monolith Plus).

DIFFERENT STYLES Apart from the classically styled Palace, the rest of the hotel resort is now unrecognisable. In the most prominent position is the flagship of the new resort – the Bürgenstock Hotel. The top station of the funicular is located inside this building. A few steps away is the Medical Wellness Waldhotel, whose facade design is based on the Vigilius Mountain Resort in South Tyrol, which was also designed by the Italian architect Matteo Thun.

THE COMMON DENOMINATOR Opened in stages from July 2017, the Bürgenstock Resort has something for everyone – whether congress participants, those looking to relax or those looking to engage in more active pursuits. One common denominator is the Geberit AquaClean Sela shower toilet, which can be found in the three main buildings – the Palace, the Bürgenstock Hotel and the Medical Wellness Waldhotel.
