example, security gates and foundries to remove casting risers.

It is imperative to select the correct cutting disc to ensure optimum

performance and the highest level of operational safety. This leads to the question: How do you choose the right cutting disc?

We can argue that the correct cutting disc is one of high quality, and when you know what to look(out) for, a quality cutting disc is easy to identify.

PRICE Deals for cutting discs that sound too good to be true often are. Like most products available for purchase, the price for a cutting disc should be market related. A cheap cutting disc that promises many (if not all) the features and benefits of its well-known counterparts should raise suspicion.

SIZE, SPEED AND MOUNTING The cutting disc must match the machine in terms of size and operating speed. An abrasive disc larger than 115mm is not intended for a 115mm angle grinder – it simply cannot fit safely.

Under no circumstances must you remove the grinder's safety guard to enable a disc to fit.

The disc's label also indicates its maximum safe operating speed in RPM. Make sure the machine you intend on using matches the indicated specifications as this ensures optimum performance while maintaining a safe working environment.
