Christmas is a wonderful time of year! Who doesn’t love the festivities with the carols and crackers, not to mention the Christmas pudding?

It’s remarkable that, in a country which consistently claims to be better off without the faith of its forefathers, everything still grinds to a halt for this most unusual festival.

“Unusual?!” I hear you cry. Well, Christmas is a rather remarkable story if you think about it for a moment. The idea that God himself gave up everything that goes with being God in favour of becoming a baby – and a baby that was laid in a feeding trough for lack of a proper bed – is truly remarkable.

God isn’t normally associated with mess – least of all animal mess!
