The town-centre plan
Hougang MRT station is on the North-East Line, which runs underground between HarbourFront and Punggol. The Cross Island Line Phase 1 (29 km, 12 stations, Aviation Park to Bright Hill) is planned with Hougang as one of four interchanges. A new Hougang bus interchange is planned within the development.
CICT owns the commercial part: a mall of about 300,000 sq ft of net lettable area, which CICT describes as the largest mall in Hougang, and a town plaza with sheltered space for events and food and beverage outlets, linked to Hougang MRT.
