The shepherds said to one another, "Let us go now to Bethlehem and see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us." – Luke 2:15
Several years ago, during New Hope's Christmas Eve Family worship service, at which we walked the children through the nativity story, a child with a shepherd's hat on shouted, "Come on! Let's go! It's time to see Jesus!" He was excited and raced all the other kids down the center aisle to be the first to get to the manger to see the baby. Oh, if only we could reflect that child's energy and faith this Christmas. But sometimes, the hustle and bustle of the holiday season or the hurts of the world can weigh us down and pull our attention away from the invitation to go to Bethlehem and experience Jesus.
New Hope Church has many opportunities for you to say yes to the invitation to "see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us."
We hope you will participate with us as we listen to the heavenly hosts declare the good news of Christ's birth, reflect on the wonders of God's love, and share the joy andhopeofJesusChristwithourneighbors
Whether you skip, leap, run, walk, roll or crawl to the manger this year, remember the destination is the same for everyone: a childwrappedinclothandlyinginamanger istheMessiah, theLord,Godwithus.Jesus is the light of the world, which no darkness can put out. Hope is alive. Come and see whatGodhasdone.

Let the countdown to Christmas begin! What an exciting time of year as we eagerly await the birth of Jesus! Along with making Christmas lists, buying and wrapping presents, attending holiday parties, and decorating cookies, I would like to encourage families to take time leading up to Christmas to be intentional about spending time together in the Word! Christmas time can be hectic, busy, and even stressful but to slow down and purposely seek out the true reason for the season is where we will find joy and peace from the Lord! There are three different Family Devotionals available for you to use this season that can be found at newhopeworship.org/children, or you can pick up a copy from the Children’s Ministry Bulletin board to the right of the Nursery!
Children are also invited to celebrate the birth of our Savior at our annual Birthday Party for Jesus on Wednesday evening, December 14th. We will eat pizza for dinner, cake for dessert, and play birthday party games. Our Birthday Party mission this year will benefit "Keith's Comfort Blankets". The goal of this organization is to provide comfort for hospitalized children and their families through the giving of blankets and other comfort items. More details about this event, including registration and how to support our mission with "Keith's Comfort Blankets," can be found, at newhopeworship.org/birthdayforjesus. We hope to see you there!
New Hope’s Living Nativity will occur at the 3 pm Christmas Eve Family Service! Our 4th and 5th graders, along with the help of all of the children, will tell the story of Jesus’ birth at this unique worship service Any 4th or 5th grader interested in participating in the Living Nativity can fill out the form located on the children’s website

We are thrilled to invite you and your loved ones to two outstanding musical events this December. Our first event is the "Christmas at the Organ" concert featuring our own Richard Gregory on Sunday, December 11th, at 4 pm. Come and be amazed at the incredible talent and childlike wonder Richie brings to the Christmas season with his musical gifts. Our next event is our annual, beloved Christmas Cantata, "How Great our Joy," on Sunday, December 18th, at both the 9 & 11 am worship services This event features our New Hope Worship Choir, accompanied by guest Orchestra musicians
These weekends are fantastic outreach opportunities to invite a friend or neighbor to experience the Joy of Christmas at New Hope Church! We will have over 65 musicians and singers bringing our praises to the Lord with our best Christmas offerings. We hope you mark your calendar for both of these remarkable events.
Peace, Christine
During the Christmas season, we decorate our preschool and education center to make it extra special for the children and their families. We have turned our hallways and large muscle room into a Polar Express train station, a Nativity scene, a Nutcracker Suite, and a Gingerbread village. Preparing memorable gifts and getting ready for our Christmas programs are the highlight of December! From our youngest to the oldest, children will learn Christmas songs or rehearse to perform the Nativity story to share with their families. After the performances, we will gather in the Fellowship Hall for some cookies and an opportunity to come together as a community.

God knew it was not good for people to be alone. He designed His beloved body of Christ to live together in a regular, authentic community. A community that prioritizes spending time together. A society that encourages and supports one another through thick or thin. A community that points you to Jesus and grows in faith together. A community that is always there to remind you of who you are and whose you are no matter the season
Unfortunately, the pace of our modern-day world does not make it easy to create deep, meaningful relationships when we are racing from commitment to commitment, texting more than talking, and spending more time with our favorite characters on Netflix than the real people in our lives.
New Hope small groups are an excellent way to intentionally prioritize and invest in life-giving relationships. Each group meets somewhere between once a month and once a week. Groups meet in homes and are facilitated by one or two specific members. Unlike Bible Study classes, small group sessions are focused on fellowship with a shorter lesson and time to share prayer requests. Many groups end up organizing social events as well
A variety of small groups will be forming after the new year. There will be a small group interest meeting on January 8th during the 10:00 am hour. I encourage you to take a step in faith and get plugged into a small group in 2023. Contact Kate
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
New Hope has an elected team of Elders and Deacons who serve with the Pastors to form the Consistory. Elders provide the spiritual oversight of the church, and Deacons steward the care and distribution of the church's finances. Get to know your Consistory!
