For the fir st tim e in eight year s, Gail Headlee is not editing and pr oducing our chur ch new sletter. Ear lier this sum m er Gail let m e know that she had decided to tr ansition out of her positions at New Hope so that she could par tner in her husband?s gr ow ing business.

We w elcom e Em ily Sm ith Dean as our new Com m unications M anager for New Hope Chur ch and this is the fir st new sletter she is editing. Em ily spent her teenage and college year s in New Hope, par ticipating in sever al m ission tr ips and high school ski tr ips. After gr aduating fr om M iam i Univer sity, Em ily m oved to Color ado. Em ily, her husband M ar k and daughter Isla r ecently m oved back to centr al Ohio and w e?r e delighted to have her as par t of our team at New Hope.

For the past tw o year s Gail Headlee has also ser ved as our chur ch accountant.

Ear lier in Septem ber w e w elcom ed Amy Br obst as New Hope?s financial adm inistr ator. Amy com es to us w ith a str ong accounting backgr ound and w e?r e gr ateful for the skills she br ings. She and her husband M ike, along w ith daughter s Em ily, Abby and Danielle have been m em ber s of New Hope for som e tim e and ar e ver y involved in youth m inistr y and childr en?s m inistr y.

As w e w elcom e Em ily and Amy, w e expr ess our gr atitude to Gail for all that she has offer ed us over these past eight year s and w ish her God?s best in this new phase of life?s jour ney.

We have had an exciting star t to the 2017-2018 season. M or e than 100 youth attended our kick-off par ty. That m eans over 100 youth spent tim e together having fun w hile exper iencing joy together in the chur ch and being loved and car ed for by an incr edible team of volunteer s. Another benefit associated with your grant is the ability to offer summer employment to ten individuals. We pray that the Lord will continue to use New Hope Church as a beacon of light and an ambassador of His great love for all people? ... Seven Baskets Community Development Corporation ?In our ministry, something incredibly exciting is happening every single day. You have made this possible! Through the time, talents and treasures of New Hope Church and it members we are able to celebrate the work of God shaping and equipping this ministry to accomplish His magnificent work. To date, 88 men and women have transitioned from prison to the community and no one has recommitted a felony? ... Kindway ?We were able to use some of the money from the grant to send two boys from the inner city to camp with us. We were also able to send a girl who had been intending to come for a while, but after her Dad got laid off they were unable to afford it. The remainder of the grant went to buying supplies which benefited all of our campers? ... Young Life Capernaum A donation to the New Hope Endow m ent Fund is never touched, continues to ear n inter est, lives on as pr inciple for ever , and pr ovides a lasting Living Legacy to suppor t New Hope's Chr istian m inistr ies w ithin the com m unity.
