Issue 11 | Autumn 2024
NCL Sixth Form at Rokeby School Newham Community Learning (NCL) is running a formal consultation with relevant stakeholders and our local community to explore opening a 400-place co-educational sixth form at Rokeby School, which would open in September 2026. At the NCL Sixth Form at Rokeby, we intend to offer a high quality, varied sixth form curriculum, with an enhanced extra-curricular offer which would appeal to post-16 students, teaching A-levels and BTECs across a range of popular academic subjects. As part of a successful Multi-Academy Trust, the NCL Sixth Form would be based in a high-performing school and have close links with the Trust’s other three secondary schools - Eastlea Community School, Lister Community School and Sarah Bonnell School. A-level and BTEC courses would be taught by subject specialist teachers drawn from across the Trust, in addition to making new appointments to ensure we have the required expertise. The following courses are A Level/BTEC subjects that we intend to offer from September 2026 (subject to sufficient numbers enrolling on the course):
