Well Done Year 11
Welcome back to all our students, staff and families. Over the summer holidays;
the GCSE results were incredibly positive at Rokeby School with over 30% of students being awarded a Grade 7, 8 or 9 in Maths, 69% of students being awarded a Grade 7, 8 or 9 in Further Maths and 37% of students being awarded a Grade 7, 8 or 9 in History
we ran two successful holiday programmes, with over 80 students involved in sport and physical activities our Google systems were migrating to a new server. This has not completely finished and has caused some delays in getting new logins and passwords out to students and families (Class Charts for example) We are working very hard to resolve this and hope to give you an update as soon as possible our sports hall floor was completely upgraded and a new one fitted
Moving into the new academic year we are focusing on our five school valuesRespect, Success, Passion for Learning, Personal Challenge & Harmony. These core values underpin the whole vision for Rokeby School. We aim to promote these throughout the community through the curriculum, pastoral programme, assemblies, policies / procedures and all other aspects of the work of the school To support this and to ensure that our high standards are maintained we have produced a set of non negotiables and would ask for your support in ensuring that these are followed.
We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the School Games GOLD LEVEL Mark Award for the 2022/23 academic year. The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. We are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
