Important Notice about Mobile Phones From September 2024 Eastlea will be a phone free school.

Students are not allowed mobile phones on site at all. If a student brings a phone to school they must hand it in to staff at the start of the day and collect it at the end of the day. If your child is found with a mobile phone it will be confiscated and will only be returned to a parent or carer when they come into school to collect it.

Parent coffee morning - Online safety (sextortion) Thank you to all parents who came to Eastlea Community School on Monday for our final parent coffee morning during this academic year. Culture Day at Eastlea Community School On Thursday, 18th July, the whole school community came together to showcase the fantastic array of cultures we have at Eastlea. Students and staff were invited to dress to represent their own culture and identity and they celebrated aspects of different cultures through music and food.

The day was organised in response to a request from students and along with the student Awards Assemblies was a joyous way to round off the academic year.

Sports Day at Eastlea Sports Day, held on the 10th of July, was a tremendous success. The students had a lot of fun participating in various events, showcasing their athletic skills and team spirit. The excitement and enthusiasm were palpable, with students supporting each other with spirited chants and colorful posters. It was a memorable occasion for everyone involved.

EAL Students’ Trip to the Science Museum

On 9th July, our EAL coordinator, Ms Przygoda, took a group of students on a boat trip to the Science Museum in recognition of all the progress the students had made with their English. They had a wonderful time although it was a little rainy!

Curiosity Club Showcase

On the 15th July, students in the Curiosity Club showcased the work they have been doing this year, with an amazing set of presentations to families and staff. Well done to all those involved.
