Table Cricket Champions

Eastlea Community School made its debut at the Lord’s Taverners Table Cricket Competition, held at Chelmsford Athletic Ground, on Tuesday. Eastlea played 4 games remaining unbeaten through to the final and now will play in the regional finals at Newmarket in April 2025. Mr Jones, Cricket Coach

Competition Winners

The New Year Book Competition ended on the 14th Feb and a huge well done to all the students who took part! Prizes will be given out on World Book day next week. The winners are: Amy Alderson 7M, Jannath Chowdhury 7S, Lamia Razzak 7C, Odunayo Elisha 8E, Faija Hossain Tanisha 8E, Decamen Ndante 8S, Albert Stefanita 8M, Faridat Afolabi 9S Makayla Williams 9A, Oni Olusola 10A

Next Thursday, we will be celebrating World Book Day, a worldwide celebration of books and reading. A special author event with Bali Rai will take place on Monday, 3rd March and students will have the chance to participate in the WBD Scavenger Hunt, designing bookmarks, doing quizzes, making badges and lots more too on the day! We also have a live streaming with international bestselling author, Karen McManus on World Book Day.

Heritage Project

Students are undertaking a project with the London borough of Newham exploring heritage and why it matters. Over the next few weeks they will be exploring archives, becoming history detectives uncovering stories through objects and sources.
