Year 11 Future Pathways

Extra curricular activities at Eastlea

This Wednesday we offered our Year 11 students and families a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the range of Post 16 offers there are out there. The evening began with an insightful talk from our careers advisor, finishing up the evening with a careers fair from lots of local Sixth Forms and Colleges. Our students were able to get all the information required to make well-informed decisions on their next steps for their futures. The conversations and advice given by our external partners was fantastic, with a special mention to: New City College, Big Creative Education, Leyton Sixth Form College, Department for Business and Trade; our alumni students from Brampton Manor; London Screen Academy, London Design & Engineering UTC; Sir George Monoux Sixth Form College; Newham College; Newvic; St Bonaventure's; ELAM and Barking & Dagenham College.

More information about the education for 16 - 18 year olds can be found in this brochure, produced by the London Borough of Newham.

I am also keen to introduce a new Games club after school so if students are interested, or have any ideas about what they would like, please come and let me know!!

Students that have been chosen to be helpers, and received a slip to confirm this will start on Monday 4th November. All students will receive certificates and badges at the end of each term.

Just a quick reminder that the deadline for the quiz is Monday 4th November. All entries will be entered into a prize draw and the first 5 students will win prizes.
