Easter Celebrations This week saw two delightful Easter concerts: the Foundation Stage Easter Treat and the Key Stage 1 Easter Tea Showcase. The Foundation Stage pupils, under the inspiring direction of Mrs Romhany, engaged everyone with their spring songs, including ‘Pitter Patter Raindrops’ for which they composed their own verses. A farmyard was brought to life with an amusing rendition of ‘Country Sounds’. Both concerts included expressive poems led by Mrs Wilkinson. Key Stage 1 captivated everyone with their two-part singing and recorder playing. They sang songs linked to their curriculum topics, reminding everyone of the value of life, and the importance of God’s love for us all. Talented cellists and violins then provided further entertainment, under the direction of Mrs Watson and Miss Knight. Pianists then showcased their talents and the Infant Choir sang two songs beautifully.

EASTER VOICES This afternoon, pupils in Years 5 and 6 experienced a wonderful reflection on the Easter Story led by our regular supply teacher, Mr Walsh, who is also a professional actor. The children were given an insight into how key figures from Jesus’ last hours may have thought and felt which enabled them to enter into Christ’s passion in a unique and moving way. Thank you to Mr Walsh for sharing his talent with us in this way and for helping us enter into the spirit of Holy Week. ACADEMIC SUCCESS Congratulations to our Year 6 pupils who have been awarded the following scholarships: John Barber Frederick Beecroft Darcy Courtney-Cook James Holt Rebecca Jeffrey

All of this, along with a cup of tea and a cupcake, certainly brought a ray of sunshine into everyone’s lives, despite the cold weather. Many thanks to everyone who made these concerts such memorable and enjoyable occasions.
