Fundraising Day On Tuesday, the School Council hosted a lunchtime fayre to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care. The council members worked in teams to decide on activities which they then planned by writing instructions and sourcing the equipment. They then made signs and very successfully ran their activities for pupils from Pre-Reception to Year 6. Great feedback was received from both pupils and staff on how organised and fun the activities were and how the School Council worked so well collaboratively. Congratulations to them all on running such a successful event. The delicious yellow cupcakes proved to be very popular – a big thank you to Mrs Southgate, Mrs Scully, Mrs Warn and Mrs Barrett for giving their time so generously. We are delighted to announce that the lunchtime fayre raised £535.00! Thank you to all those families who have returned a donation for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Remember that children who raise £5.00 or more will receive a ‘super fundraising magnet’ to keep. Please return all donations before Friday 8 March.
LITTLE POTS OF CARE Hopefully each pupil’s daffodil made it home safely on Tuesday and we now ask that each child takes care of their daffodil and watch it grow. We would love to have updates, such as measurements and photos and these will be displayed on the School Council notice board. Please pass on any information to the class teachers. We would like to see who can grow the tallest daffodil—good luck! VALENTINE’S TEA PARTY
The Pre-Reception Valentine’s Tea Party took place on Friday 15 February. Parents were invited into Pre-Reception, which had been transformed with red and pink hearts for the occasion. The children had prepared some tasty treats for everyone to enjoy, all with a valentine’s theme, including heartshaped biscuits and pink heart-shaped sweets. Thank you to all the families that attended.
