Thank You! Dear “Friends of Moe” supporters. We hope this letter finds you and your families well. We hope you are battling through these challenging times. The “Friends of Moe” committee decided not to hold our annual fundraising golf tournament this year because of these challenging times. We are all sad we could not run the 11th annual “FOM” this year because we love to be able to help families in need. We felt it was an awful tough ask expecting our loyal group of hole sponsors, raffle prize donors and players to be able to give so generously like you all have.

However, between last year’s tournament and now we have had several groups step up and help our cause. Special thanks go to the families of Mike and Shanna Kinna Jr., Mike and Nancy Kinna Sr. and John and Donna Bailey who again sacrificed their holiday presents to each other. Their families collected that money to make a very generous donation to “FOM” for the third year in a row.

The Lenox Girl’s 5/6 Grade Traveling Team, coached by Lenny Miller and Amy Pires took up donations at the Lenox home Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball games to make a very generous donation. The Golden Knights Girls Basketball Tournament held in February, led by Terry Chamberland, John Perrault and Jon Lucey gave all their proceeds from the tournament to FOM. The Cocktails and Clubs Ladies Golf League in Canaan ran an end of the season scramble golf tournament/ raffle and gave all of their proceeds to “FOM”. Special thanks to Brenda Treirweiler, Zoe Lewis, Denise Dufault and Michelle Jones for coordinating this effort. We are so grateful and thankful to all for their generosity!!

With that, we were able to help out four different groups this summer and fall.

We plan on making another donation to a local group. We are working on that right now. We also hope to do a small fundraiser in the very near future. Our goal is to bridge this year and come back stronger than ever in 2021!! We are not going to let the “FRIENDS OF MOE” end!! Thanks to all that have given our group the chance to help local families in need. Happy Holidays to all.

Helping to support Southern Berkshire families in need during the Holidays The Watson Fund aims to make the holiday season a bit more joyous by providing food and clothing certificates to many families across the Southern Berkshires and needs your help once again in order to fulfill the needs of our community. With the hopes of raising $30,000, the Watson Fund is now accepting donations at all Berkshire Bank South County branches.
