Jack is a handsome 9-month-old Border Collie, Australian Cattle Dog, Australian Shepherd mix with energy to spare! Jack will need a home that can match his quickmindedness and agile nature. A true herding breed, Jack would do best with experienced adopters, particularly with knowledge of or previous experience with herding breeds. A perfect candidate for agility, obedience, hiking and more, Jack is a definite match for those with active lifestyles. He was initially a little shy when he first arrived at the shelter, but has opened up, and loves everyone he meets. He enjoys play sessions with other dogs but no cats please! Jack does tend to be a bit reactive towards other people and dogs while on walks/hikes, but our canine behaviorist had been working extensively with his previous family on his triggers, so a consultation with her will be required before he goes home.
