Bennington Project Independence (BPI) is proud to celebrate two major milestones this year. BPI is celebrating both 40 years of providing exemplary Adult Day Services for individuals and families throughout Bennington County and celebrating the 10th Anniversary of Phase One of the Dr. Richard A. Sleeman Center.

Bennington Project Independence offers a comprehensive, compassionate and cost-effective alternative to traditional nursing home care. Participants can come to the welcoming Dr. Richard A. Sleeman Center and enjoy the opportunity to be with friends, remain active, receive care and support as needed and return to comfort of their homes each evening.

BPI serves adults age 18 and older. We have a wide variety of people who attend from seniors who want to an opportunity to get out and enjoy life, to persons facing challenges of serious medical conditions. We also serve persons with the special needs of traumatic brain injury as well as persons at all stages of Alzheimer’s Disease and other types of cognitive impairment.

BPI’s Adult Day Services are comprehensive and individually-tailored. BPI is open Monday through Friday from 7am to 6pm. Participants and their family caregivers set their own schedule based on their individual needs. BPI provides door-
