We were trying to sell our house. While it was for sale, we started having problems with our septic system. We called a pro to come and look. The news was not great. We needed to replace the entire system and the cost was steep. As a matter of fact, we paid more than a neighbor of ours who just had a new septic installed. After the new septic has been completed, we will try again to sell our house. Here is my question: My spouse wants to add the cost of the new septic system to the asking price. I’m not sure that’s a good idea You have been in the real estate business a long time. Have you run into this before?

We said we wouldn’t sig n unt il t hey removed all of t he t ra sh per t he cont ract T he seller said t hey would not do it and to sue t hem if I had a problem w it h t hat . Somet imes, t he sellers money w ill be held in escrow (t y pically 1.5 t imes t he amount it would cost for removal)
