ALL IS WELL IN MUDVILLE

L

ikely, you are at the end of your wits, and to some degree, you are justified to feel that way.

Life during COVID-19 is comparable to riding an out-of-control rollercoaster, with your hands high above your head, without a safety bar. The fast-moving cars twist and turn around each corner, causing a profound sense of fear and a lack of control.

As we climb out of 2020 and settle into the arms of 2021, there is much to be thankful for; albeit, things could be better.

Even so, there are some highlights of the past year that should be considered.

The government provided stimulus money without a payback mandate; low-interest loans allowed businesses to remain open; for, without this assistance, many would have closed, leaving millions of people without a paycheck and a boatload of despair.

Unemployment benefits have been available—even extended, while no one was thrown out on the street because evictions were halted by the state—who took on the responsibility for getting us through the pandemic.

The stock market is booming and hitting new highs, the price of gold and silver continues to grow, and bitcoin is pushing new levels at around $18,000— with experts claiming—it could reach $30,000 plus—next year.

Housing demand is, giving homeowners vast amounts of equity and profits—if and when they choose to sell.

People are saving and investing like they haven’t in years, much to do with the hiatus from attending events and other social distractions that funnel massive amounts of money away from consumers’ 10 | DECEMBER 2020 | NEW ENGLAND NEWS + MEDIA

pockets and into bloated conglomerate bank accounts. We are witnessing a reversal of fortune; the public keeps their communities vibrant because they save, invest, and spend at home.

Unfortunately, there are consequences because some leaders say one thing; but do another. School closings are hurting children throughout the country, and because of this, many receive an inferior education that will follow students for a lifetime.

Correctly stated, we need to adhere to “follow the science.” Clearly, the safest place for a student is in the classroom.

From day one, we have watched the gross mismanagement of the Coronavirus. Governors were allowed to run their states independently of federal intervention and rule exclusively. It is time to ask, how has that worked out?

There is more to this dilemma than governance; and, not all blame lies at the feet of a political class for the recent elevation of COVID-19 cases.

It is time the public faces the truth; we have relaxed our vigilance, thrown out personal responsibility for wearing masks, and have undeniably relaxed the necessity of social distancing. These passive-aggressive behaviors have rocked all efforts to contain the contagion, leaving the government no choice but to take aggressive actions to limit further exposure.

Although bittersweet, great good has come from the past year’s events.

Big Pharma, cold-chain distribution networks, medical facilities, and research laboratories have been forced to think outside the box to develop and deliver advanced medical technology. Rather than

taking 10 years, we have watched a vaccine come to market in less than 12 months from concept to approval. This model will likely continue well into the future.

We are also on the cusp of another milestone, one vital to our seniors or families facing catastrophic medical issues. Dramatic changes are coming to the pharmaceutical industry; drug prices will be reduced so that Americans pay what other countries do, and we will no longer be the subsidizing agent to the world.

This action will change the dynamic of how drug manufacturers lobby officials, so they may avoid legislation that would soften pricing.

Other advancements and developments are specific to how we will move forward in business and personal communication.

From necessity, we watched the expansion of software that allows speaking with health professionals in real time; we have come to appreciate the ease with which we attend meetings on any device, or communicate with distant relatives at will. Another convenient outcome forced upon us is the advancement of electronic banking technology and the ability to sign legally binding documents online.

It is incredible how engineers, researchers, even ordinary citizens, are learning to push the envelope to extremes, all hoping to improve millions of lives.

As difficult as life seems at this juncture, we have so much to be thankful for; the advancements we enjoy are just the beginning. We face a new chapter, one that shines a light on research and innovation.

We wish you a reflective holiday season and an improved new year. H

As our elders do today, they will reminisce of the social divide facing the nation, an administration fraught with controversy, riots, massive demonstrations, copkillings, and the advent of a socialist movement, along with the detrimental effects of the Coronavirus.

Over time, memories fade, and accounts change. Regardless of perfect recall, we all have personal experiences we can identify with; here is an abbreviated list of events that have shaped our society, and opinions.

Some might ask what the purpose is for pulling out these events and sharing them, and naturally, there will be a critique of our efforts because we left out many; equally important.

We understand that each of these moments in time will be recalled differently. Everyone has a personal experience, opinion, and recall; this makes us all unique and fits into that activity known as Democracy.

More importantly, it shapes our future.

Today, the country faces a great challenge, to the point it seems to be getting worse, not better. Those with a short-term view might see the problems we face as insurmountable, while a long-term perspective gives comfort this will pass.

It will not be easy; the people of this nation are evenly divided—based on political activism, with the two-party

system enlisting the media (of all types) to peddle influence over the public.

So, to answer your questions about our unorthodox approach to this op-ed, all we can say is we want peace this Christmas season. This year, we hope that citizens resolve conflicts by agreeing to disagree and speak to divisive issues without tempers and violence.

As you can see above, it has been done before—or at least, we have learned lessons from our actions.

We face difficult times, but we have the strength and knowledge to disengage from battling internally. Our issues are far more significant than to combat those we disagree with; it is time to take personal responsibility and be the best we can—whenever possible.

Have the best holiday season you can arrange, and be grateful that we have made it this far—better days are ahead. H

ave you grown tired of crowds, the drive to the mountains, or the ridiculous expense of spending a day or weekend skiing or riding? For many, the answer is yes.

Those who love the outdoors, enjoy the solitude of hiking, and appreciate the health benefits of being out in the fresh winter air, are flocking to an activity gaining popularity.

Snowshoeing is a sport often overlooked; but, because of safety concerns associated with COVID-19, social distancing, and near-mandatory face maskwearing, any opportunity to get back to normal is welcomed.

With advancements in the battle against COVID-19, it appears there will be a massive vaccination distribution coming soon; but most of the population will not see it until spring.

Having to face the challenges of socializing and exercising in a safe and secure environment during a season where most events occur indoors, walking atop fresh snowfall can be enjoyed

Principally, snowshoeing is a hike in deep snow, but with the benefit of remaining atop the fluffy stuff, it allows fitness without exertion.

With a large surface different from an ordinary boot, snowshoes enable weight to be distributed over an extended surface, making walking movements easier. close to home, is remarkably affordable, and allows everyone to be protected due to the very nature of the activity.

To get started, look at this review, and with a little additional research, you will quickly have enough information to prepare for your first journey into the woods.

READY

You don’t have to be an athlete to snowshoe; warm clothing, poles, boots, and lightweight snowshoes will have you ready for your initial adventure. There’s no need to rely on others, but the more, the merrier, if they are willing to join you.

Let’s begin by discussing snowshoe types, accessories, and techniques.

EQUIPMENT needed is fundamental; a decent set of snowshoes, warm clothes you ordinarily use for hiking in cold temperatures, two adjustable poles, a backpack, and a small camera or cellphone—depending on where your adventure takes you.

There are a few points to consider when purchasing snowshoes; terrain, size, and conditions.

Those spending most of their time on the flats need only an entry-level shoe.

Its price is low, it has a simple binding and traction system, and it is absent of a heel lift.

want to consider flip-up heel lifts.

Of course, the crampon design can be the only thing between the hiker and injury; when conditions warrant, a secure and reliable grip will be necessary.

Gender matters; some shoes are unisex, while others make women’s shoes slightly narrower and men’s wider with a larger boot binding.

Most specialty shops will be able to help you determine what shoe will be best for the type of activity you plan to enjoy.

POLES

on crusty, icy, or steep paths, you can opt for rolling terrain shoes. A bit more expensive, they include a more secure binding system, crampons, and a heel lift in most cases.

For those who want to enjoy rugged terrain, all-mountain shoes will be the best. They will handle the steeps and icy terrain; however, they come at a higher price-point. Equipment includes an enhanced crampon system, extra secure binding systems, and a heel lift.

Some manufacturers offer fitness specialty shoes for those with experience or wish to make snowshoeing part of their weekly fitness regime.

Snowshoeing poles are specific to the sport; they help with balance and create rhythm. It’s essential to select a pair with telescopic adjustments for varying conditions and a large basket on the ends so they won’t sink in deep snow.

CLOTHING

If you have spent time hiking, skiing, or participating in any winter sport, you know you need to dress in layers and stay away from cotton, which will get soaked with sweat only to freeze and cause discomfort. Pull gear that wicks wetness away from your body and allows you to stay dry. The same goes for socks and gloves.

SIZING

Conditions also play a role. If you are on packed trails, smaller, lighter weight shoes work well. For deep powder, you will need a longer shoe to keep you afloat. If steeps with varying conditions (ice and slopes) are in your future, durable and smaller shoes are recommended.

The goal is to float, so you don’t want to overload your shoes; the frame and deck (surface area) is important to perfect before you are on the trail. You should add your pack weight to your body mass; this total (load) will decide the length of shoe you’ll need.

The boot binding fit is equally essential. You will want a secure fit that doesn’t slip or remain loose. For those who intend to walk up steeps, you will 26 | DECEMBER 2020 | NEW ENGLAND NEWS + MEDIA

SAFETY

Regardless of where you snowshoe, it is a good idea to have a float plan, the same as sailors use. Let someone know where you are going, your start time, and when you expect to return. Be sure they have your phone number and don’t forget to let them know you have returned from your journey.

Bring a fully charged phone, extra gloves and hat, snacks, water, and— if possible—a GPS monitor. Those planning to go deep into the wilderness may wish to consider a lightweight rope and flare gun.

GO

There is nothing like learning by doing.

Still, it doesn’t hurt to see how it is done.

You’ll find plenty of videos demonstrating technique, but it won’t translate into action until you get on the snow. With that, allow us to share some basics you’ll want to keep in mind.

STANCE: Keep a wider than normal

stance when walking; your shoes should not hit each other.

FEET: Be sure to raise them higher than

you usually do; avoid ‘clipping’ your shoes, which may result in a fall.

TURING: Raise your leg higher and cross

over your stationary one, keeping your balance while changing direction.

CLIMBING: As you reach the steeps, you

will want to flip out your heel lifts.

These keep your feet level on rises—it also keeps you from sliding back down the hill.

ICE ALERT: If at any time you will need traction, this is it; crampons provide a stable and secure grip to the surface.

They can be sharp—and dangerous— so use caution when handling them.

They will cut through clothing and skin quite easily.

WARNING: Don’t walk backward; 9 out of 10 times, you’ll fall.

FINDING A LOCATION: Most people can

get to a park, a preserve, or the woods when learning. Level ground after a good dump of snow offers an easy practice session. But, once you gain expertise, you’ll be drawn to varying terrain adding to the fun. Many mountains offer trails for snowshoeing that are away from downhill or crosscountry skiers.

It’s been a mild fall and the perfect time to get fitted for your first trip.

No one wants to miss an early storm and be a disappointed spectator.

I

t should come as a wake-up call that millions of adult Americans have been missing an important ingredient for their best health even before all the current added stress.

A joint consensus statement by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and Sleep Research Society advises that adults allow at least seven hours of quality sleep each night to promote optimum well-being.1 For various reasons, however, US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data shows that many of us are failing to reach this amount. In 2014, 35.2 percent of all US adults got less than seven hours of sleep in 24 hours, defined as short sleep duration.

This number was roughly split between men and women, with people in the 45-54 age category and non-Hispanic Black and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islanders getting the least sleep.2 Looking deeper, sleep deprivation prevalence was lowest in the Central Plains, Far West, and Pacific Northwest regions, and highest in the Eastern third of the nation—specifically, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, New York, and Maryland in the North; Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina in the South; and Hawaii.2 When broken down by county, however, a different picture of sleep deprivation emerges. Southern Massachusetts and much of Rhode Island, for example, ranked in the CDC’s highest sleep deprivation category (38.2-48.5 percent) and were the highest in New England, with Bristol and Hampden Counties in MA ranking worst in health factors and health outcomes.2-3 WE ARE WHAT WE SLEEP

Why is sleep vital to good health?

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) explains that without enough quality sleep, our mental, work, and social capacity declines, as our risk for chronic health issues, injury, and death increases.4 Says NHLBI, sleep rejuvenates the brain and body, helping them work properly during waking hours. For example, prolonged lack of sleep impairs healing of blood vessels, which can increase risk of heart disease; raise blood sugar above normal levels, potentially increasing diabetes risk; and it can compromise immunity. Sleep promotes new brain pathways that enable learning and memory, whereas inadequate sleep can lead to difficulty in decision making and problem-solving, as well as emotional and behavioral instability. With the body and brain refreshed through adequate sleep, our overall performance and safety is enhanced.4 According to the Sleep Foundation, though we still do not fully know sleep’s biological role, research has shown that sleep strengthens cardiovascular and immune function, and helps keep metabolism in check.5

FEEL THE RYTHM

NHLBI explains that we sleep via an internal “body clock” that typically tracks on a daily, repeating 24-hour pattern, called a circadian rhythm. This rhythm governs when it is time for us to sleep and wake, and it affects every cell in our body.4 Circadian rhythm is influenced by two factors. First, a pressure, or drive, to sleep builds throughout the day as levels of the chemical adenosine increase in the brain, peaking in the evening.

Second, environmental cues such as darkness and light signal times for waking and sleeping in your internal body clock. Darkness signals production of melatonin hormone that prepares the body for sleep, while light signals cortisol hormone that wakes the body.4 SLEEP IS A PROCESS

A good night’s rest involves four to six sleep cycles of 70-120 minutes each, with each cycle made up of four separate sleep stages lasting anywhere from one minute to one hour. The first three stages consist of non-REM Sleep promotes new (NREM), and the last stage is REM brain pathways that (rapid eye movement) in which dreaming occurs.5, 6 enable learning and Sleep consists of five phases: memory, whereas wake, N1 (NREM or Stage 1), inadequate sleep can N2, N3, and R (REM). In the lead to difficulty in wake (W) phase, a person becomes decision making and drowsy, with the eyes closing and problem-solving, as alpha brain wave activity overtakes well as emotional and beta wave. N1 (NREM or Stage behavioral instability.

1) is the lightest sleep stage that lasts just a few minutes and begins when over half of alpha waves are replaced by low-amplitude mixed frequency waves. In N2, the brain and body slow down, with thousands of brain cells switching to a “sleep state.”7 Here, the brain emits the most “sleep spindles,” which are brain wave pulses thought to prevent waking and help memory.8 This is followed by deep sleep in N3 (called slow-wave sleep or delta sleep), where the body repairs itself and rejuvenates as it slows even more, and alpha waves are replaced by high-amplitude delta waves. In Stage 4 (R), brain activity rises to a level similar to being awake, leading to the vivid dreaming. In this final stage, breathing and heart rate increase, but muscles are paralyzed to prevent the body from acting out these dreams.5, 6 More time is spent in non-REM sleep in the first few sleep cycles, with the majority of REM sleep occurring in the latter half of the night. This overall pattern of sleep cycles and stages is known as “sleep architecture.”5, 6 A complex process, nearly every part of the body experiences changes during sleep.

GOING INTO DEBT

Most adults (people aged 18 and older) need seven to nine hours of sleep each day. Anything less becomes our “sleep debt.”

Sleep debt cannot effectively be compensated for through napping. While napping does give a temporal boost in alertness and function, it does not provide all the benefits of nighttime sleep. And while extra sleep on weekends may make us feel better, it can interfere with our circadian rhythm and be a sign of sleep deprivation during weekdays.4 It is also essential that the time you sleep matches your circadian rhythm. Otherwise, you can still be deficient even after sleeping eight hours, as in shift work. You can also be sleep-deprived if you are routinely awakened, as with caregiving.

Another group at higher risk for sleep disorders is those with medical conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure, and obesity.4 In the CDC’s research on sleep deprivation, people who were obese, sedentary, and smokers were more likely to get less than seven hours of sleep per day. By the same token, those who were sleep-deprived (less than seven hours of sleep in 24 hours) were more likely to report 10 chronic disease conditions than those who got sufficient sleep. These conditions included (in order of prevalence from lowest to highest): chronic kidney disease, stroke, coronary artery disease, heart attack, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), cancer, diabetes, asthma, depression, and arthritis.2 Because of this risk of disease from poor sleep habits, NHLBI advises identifying problematic sleep patterns with a sleep diary.

Symptoms of sleep deficiency include feeling very tired during waking hours, not feeling refreshed after sleeping and having reduced daytime capacity.4

For those still having trouble falling asleep or getting back to sleep, the typical advice is to not look at the clock, relax the body, and getting out of bed after 20 minutes. However, one peculiar relaxation method has been gaining traction.

A recent article in The New York Times Magazine describes a Los Angeles fiction writer’s stress management “trick” of rhythmically rocking and rolling his body from side to side while lying face-up in bed, which he learned as a toddler to help him fall asleep. Called sleep-related rhythmic movements (SRRMs), he still engages in the behavior as he nears 40, though it typically disappears by adolescence.11 It works so well that the writer has gained control of his SRRM over the years to become a form of meditation for relaxation; reducing anxiety, heart rate, muscle tension, and being more present. He points out that one study theorizes that SRRM exerts sensory activity in the brain that may help to synchronize and reinforce sleep waves. He suggests others who already find “solace in a porch swing, balance in a hammock, and reprieve in a rocking chair” might also benefit from the relaxing practice.

It’s worth noting that another study has theorized that rhythmic movement disorder (RMD) in adults may be genetic and triggered by sleep apneas, with CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) solving the problem in one of the five people studied—four having the disorder as children.12

10 STRATEGIES FOR BETTER SLEEP

The table below outlines 10 practical steps to a better night’s rest.4, 9, 10

10 SLEEP STRATEGIES Allow enough hours in the evening for adequate sleep.

Sleep during the same time frame each day.

Limit extra sleep on non-working days to no more than one hour.

Maintain a quiet, cool, and dark sleeping area.

Nap for no more than 30 minutes and not later in the day.

Exercise regularly, but avoid heavy exercise before sleeping.

Eat a healthy diet that contains foods high in tryptophan (example, poultry, and nuts), and enjoy a glass of tart cherry juice before bed, both of which induce melatonin production.

Avoid heavy meals two hours before sleeping and any caffeine beyond mid-afternoon.

Avoid screens (blue light) before bed, or use computer glasses.

Manage stress (get organized, delegate tasks, meditate, etc.).

People who feel they have a sleep disorder are encouraged to speak to their doctor.

Subjects to consider beforehand could include items recorded in a sleep diary: length of time with the problem; daily time frame for sleeping; time needed to fall asleep, how often you may wake during the night, and time needed to fall back to sleep; whether you snore; how refreshed you feel upon waking and how tired you are during the day; and whether you fall asleep during routine activity such as driving (microsleep).4 A sleep study (polysomnography) may be advisable, determining possible sleep apnea, for example. T

rust is an essential relationship ingredient. Yet it is fragile; once damaged, trust neither heals quickly nor is easily repaired. The very task of repairing and restoring trust between romantic partners frustrates many who try.

Re-earning and repairing trust can seem like an impossible obstacle course.

Whether trust is damaged by mistake, unfortunate coincidences, or unrestrained impulses repairing, it may very well determine a relationship’s survival. The process of repairing trust must include growth.

Just like an apology, behavior change needs to be included for repair to be sincere and effective.

Distrust is similar to a pool of quicksand; once something enters the pool, such as information, a situation, or a person, it is not likely to escape. Once within its grasp, all gets darkly labeled as untrustworthy. Some partners have difficulty trusting, which preexisted their relationship, from prior abuse, traumas, deceptions, and betrayals. A trustworthy partner is quick to take a lack of trust personally. More common is one who made selfish missteps and wishes to escape the dungeon of damaged trust.

The process of re-earning trust varies depending upon the cause and severity of the damaged trust, such as a minor failure of dependability or a small lie versus a large 58 | DECEMBER 2020 | NEW ENGLAND NEWS + MEDIA

Trust lie or an affair, covert chronic gambling, or drug use. Each violation demands a proportionate response of compassion, apology, growing changes, openness, honesty, and transparency. The discovery of covert behaviors may be traumatizing to an unsuspecting partner. Repair may seem daunting for a partner who has fallen too deep into a hole.

The impotency of words makes re-earning trust difficult. When within the shadow of distrust, words carry no value. Debating details of past ethical violations is a harmful, ineffective use of words. Compassion for the pain caused is loving and is the only kind of effort that really matters.

An untrusted partner will have to endure much discomfort to succeed in repairing trust. An angry, injured partner may express pain-filled accusatory words and be actively punitive, feeling punishment is deserved even though it interferes with healing; investigating obsessively and crossexamining the violator like a prosecutor are common. Distrust and fear produce a kind of blindness that can feel dangerously out of control. Without clear facts, an injured partner’s pain combines with their suspicion and imagination into a toxic cocktail resulting in catastrophic speculations.

When trust is low, interactions may seem or feel more like the relationship between a probation officer and a probationer than

between lovers. It is the burden of the untrusted partner to re-earn trust by humbly accepting restrictions and reduced freedom if he or she wishes to succeed. Untrusted partners who succeed at making the issues “just go away” end up with a zombie relationship; they keep the relationship, but without the partner’s heart. Openness, honesty, and transparency generate goodwill and may be offered in many forms, including accepting cell-phone tracking, discontinuation of any text message and call log deleting, giving the injured partner advance notice of choices, associations, and whereabouts. Video calls may prove location.

The generous sharing of information allows an untrusting partner to determine the consistency and congruency of the truth.

For protection from specious accusations, untrusted partners may diligently maintain a daily journal, which can be helpful to resolve disputes about past events.

Time supports healing and is a friend of an untrusted partner, but only if no new hurtful incidents occur. Lost freedoms will gradually be restored if handled well.

he nightly news is filled with video and stills of rioting, vandalism, assaults, and intimidation.

Moreover, local crime reports about gang violence and home invasions seem to be on the rise. For those with children, if a parent is away from the family for an extended period of time, it can cause anxiety and develop into obsessive insecurity.

If you believe the situation will improve—think again; calls for defunding the police, letting the incarcerated to be released prematurely, and the non-enforcement of existing laws, all contribute to a less safe and poorly prepared society. And know, anyone who tells you not to worry is either carrying a weapon for self-protection or is in abject denial.

We offer a glimpse into what is commonly known as “Panic” or “Safe” rooms and correct any misconception they may have formed due to fear as witnessed on the big screen.

History tells us that this type of protection is not new by any means.

The first evidence of high-net individuals looking to have a place to secure their valuables dates back to the pharaohs in ancient Egypt. Within pyramids and underground tombs laid vast wealth from prying eyes.

Within the English Empire, royalty and large land-owners had similar concerns and prepared for robbery, kidnapping, or the need to seek refuge during an attack by an enemy. Deep within the castle walls were secure rooms, with some having secret passages to an emergency exit.

In England during the 1600s, at the time of oppression and killing of

priests—small quarters hid the vulnerable. Here in the US, hidden spaces, trapped doors, and false walls hid escaped slaves as they made their way along the Underground Railroad.

Moving ahead, many older adults recall the threat of the USSR, leading to American students practicing sheltering in place during the 60s, their head under a desk in the event of a Nuclear war. It was also when fallout shelters could be found in remodeled basements or hidden from sight—dug deep into the ground and filled with rations.

To include 911, the horrendous hurricanes and tornadoes the country has experienced, not leaving out the unrest that resulted from political discord and COVID-19; is it any wonder why today’s homeowner is taking a serious look at building a safe chamber for themselves and their families.

The concept of panic or safe rooms for the rich and powerful has waned; many middle-class citizens opt to add a protective layer to their residence.

With these items, your space will be secure against violence, a hurricane, tornado, biological agents, and to some degree, bombing, or nuclear attack.

THE PRICE Do-it-yourselfers can expect to spend $5000-$10,000 on the most basic level of security. Having a company specializing in high-end rooms can start around $25,000 and often go as high as $500,000.

AN ALTERNATIVE For those without the room or budget, a simplified panic room for a short-term stay can be easily accomplished. Locate an oversized closet and install a steel door and jam. Add a heavy-duty deadbolt, and load the room with essential items listed above. With this plan, you will separate yourself from danger and buy enough time to call the authorities.

BOSTON BAROQUE ANNOUNCES ITS HOLIDAY CONCERT SERIES Newly Released on Boston Baroque Live; Handel’s Giulio Cesare in Egitto

oston Baroque has announced the event of the season, George Frideric Handel’s glittering opera Giulio Cesare in Egitto, which premiered in 1724.

To be released on Boston Baroque Live, the full-length concert is divinely anticipated this holiday season, where sparks will fly and empires fall. Audiences of the opera will be tantalized by the seductive and vengeful actions of Cleopatra’s fight to claim the Egyptian throne—with the help of her lover—Julius Caesar.

The event, filmed in 2017, was placed on the organization’s digital platform on November 15, 2020, but will be available to the public—free of charge—through December 15, 2020 by visiting Baroque.
