LLM in American Law
The LLM in American Law Program is designed to equip foreign-trained lawyers with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in today’s interconnected legal world. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in the dynamic and continually evolving U.S legal system, helping internationally trained attorneys navigate its complexities with confidence.
Through immersive study, international students gain a deep understanding of U.S. law while enhancing their professional opportunities This program not only builds the legal expertise required to take a U.S. bar exam and practice as an attorney in the United States, but also strengthens the practical skills necessary for success in a global legal career.
By the end of the program, you will have developed the tools to excel as a global practitioner. You will understand the perspectives and reasoning of U.S. lawyers and others trained in the common law tradition, and you will be prepared to work seamlessly across borders, collaborating with legal professionals from diverse systems and backgrounds

Full-time program
Two consecutive semesters (fall & spring)
24 credits (approximately 10 courses)
Admission Requirements
Law degree or equivalent from a university or law school outside the United States

Bar Exam Preparation
Our graduates consistently pass the state bar exam at significantly higher-than-predicted rates.
