New Concept Gallery is pleased to invite you to join us for Shared Visions, the next show of our regular 2024 season. Steven A. Jackson and his wife, Kathleen M. Jackson, have spent countless hours on the backroads of New Mexico and southern Colorado, searching for striking vistas, abandoned structures and long-forgotten ghost towns. Working in distinctly different mediums, the two artists both share a reverence for the beauty of abandoned places. In their art, they work to convey the generational histories of the lives that were lived out in the shelter of now-crumbling walls. Sometimes, their artistic interpretations are parallel, while at other times they perceive the same location in very different ways. Shared Visions will explore both the similarities and differences in their depictions of place.
