Kathleen Doyle Cook Energy Formations reflects the continuation of Doyle Cook’s exploration of non-figurative images. These abstract expressionist paintings rely on color, composition and the energy produced by layers of brush work. Her visual environments contain levels of awareness and cannot dictate the viewer’s response because they have evolved in the abstract without preconception. Frequently the titles of these works have their roots in the book Your True Home by Thich Nhat Hanh.

Doyle Cook moved from Boston, MA, to Santa Fe, NM, in 2009.

Her works are in numerous private and corporate collections throughout the country.

Aaron Karp With a body of work spanning over 40 years, Aaron Karp has exhibited works in galleries and museums throughout the United States, including the prestigious Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in NYC. His résumé includes over a dozen grants and residencies in the United States and abroad, and participation in over a hundred solo and group exhibitions. Aaron’s work is widely held in both corporate and private collections, as well as the permanent collections of numerous museums. Karp’s paintings function on the level of pure perceptual phenomena-as statements about color, line and movement-as complex and inventive commentaries about the visual stimuli generated by the worlds of nature and art. Karp says of his latest “Star Cluster” paintings, “I like it when they explode in front of your eyes”.
