Cecilia Kirby Binkley The past few years have allowed Cecilia Kirby Binkley to spend more time than ever in the mountains among her beloved aspens. There, she is free to savor the play of light on a summer afternoon and further her quiet, peaceful connection with nature. The pleasant solitude of this time has encouraged her to explore new perspectives and visions, allowing her to create a series of new works that feel fresh and new, while retaining her distinctive style. The show will feature a multiseasonal group of new plein air and studio paintings, as well as some favorite works from recent years.

Reg Loving Versatility is Reg Loving’s hallmark as an artist, but at New Concept Gallery we have always been captivated by his interpretation of New Mexico’s iconic landscapes. With bold brushstrokes and the fearless use of color, Loving renders the mesas, plains and mountains of the region in a distinctive abstracted style. His work continues to evolve as a reflection of Loving’s constant exploration and rediscovery of his identity as a creator. Reg Loving has been a vibrant part of the New Mexico art scene since the mid 1970s.

Linda Petersen A former Santa Fe resident who has recently relocated to the desert just outside of Tuscon, Arizona, Linda Petersen is the most traditional of our artists at New Concept Gallery. Petersen renders the distinct landscapes of New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and Arizona in warm, rich tones. Her oil paintings convey the beauty of the American southwest with grace, showcasing our adobe architecture, crystalline blue skies, sculpted rock formations and oasis-like river valleys to perfection.

Petersen earned her B.F.A. in Denver in 2001, and spent two summers painting in Italy. Her small plein air studies and larger studio works show a European influence, flavored by her years spent savoring the extraordinary landscapes of the Four Corners region.
