We are undeniably living in unusual times, and it has impacted each of our artists in different ways. For Cecilia Kirby Binkley, it has meant she is spending more time than ever in the mountains among her beloved aspens. There, she is free to savor the play of light on a summer afternoon and further her quiet, peaceful connection with nature. As an artist, she has capitalized on this, learning to see in new ways and to change her perspective on familiar scenes. The result is a vibrant, multi-seasonal group of new plein air and studio works. In her fall show at New Concept Gallery, these are featured alongside favorite pieces from recent years.
