Scott Capurro: Opens Up
Following last year’s sell-out shows at Live Theatre, Viz’s very own Simon Donald returns as Market Researcher Barry Twyford, ably assisted by Tyneside’s favourite Scouser, Anvil Springstien.
Since 1993, Scott Capurro has avoided AIDS by telling unsavoury jokes in every English speaking country. Scott is surrounded by duplicity and is emotionally unstable. He met Nelson Mandela. They’re both vegetarians. Actually, Nelson is. Scott said he was, to impress Nelson.
‘Donald’s ability to create characters didn’t stop at Viz. Tonight he is Barry Twyford, a Geordie census-taker ... superb, inventive comedy.’ The Stage DATE: Sat 15 Jan, 8pm TICKETS: £10; £8 concs LOCATION: Main Theatre DURATION: Approx 2 hours 20 mins including 2 intervals SUITABILITY: 16+
‘...it is brilliantly, shockingly funny.
