Newark’s police services received strong resident ratings in the 2025 Community Survey, scoring higher than California and national benchmarks for response times, overall service, and effectiveness.
Local schools are on the rise. Newark Unified School District reported a 5% increase in English Language Arts and a 3% increase in Math, achieving the highest year-over-year increases among surrounding districts.
